Strong Java Backend Engineer.

Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 5+ years of backend development with strong focus on Java (Spring / Spring Boot)

Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have been SDE-2 for at least 2.5 years

Mandatory (Tech skill 1) : Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Strong understanding of distributed systems, multithreading, and async programming

Mandatory (Tech skill 3): Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

Mandatory (Tech skill 4) : Exposure to Kafka/RabbitMQ and Redis/Memcached

Mandatory (Tech skill 5): Experience with AWS / GCP / Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes

Mandatory (Tech skill 6) : Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

Mandatory (Company): Product companies (B2B SAAS preferred)

Mandatory (Stability): Must have stayed for atleast 2 years with each of the previous companies

Mandatory (Education): B.Tech in computer science from Tier 1, Tier 2 colleges

• Build and scale backend services using Java & Spring Boot

• Work on API integrations (REST, SOAP), caching & rate limiting

• Contribute across the full SDLC – design, development, testing & deployment

• Solve problems around performance, scalability & reliability

• Strong knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP

• Hands-on with system & solution design

• Database experience: MongoDB / PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Developing system components throughout all phases of the product lifecycle·        
• Own, improve, maintain, and enhance the code of a desktop client application with a native look and feel for Windows, one of the primary access points for users to Egnyte’s cloud-based connect solution
• Influence architecture, features, and implementation of our product·    
• Collaborate with other developers, product owners, and QA in bringing releases in a SaaS delivery model

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Leading a team of developers and QA (team size: 4+) with a full focus on productivity and business delivery
• Taking full responsibility for the new code from the design phase to running it in production (high-scale usage)
• Strong C++ programming (C++14 standard) and debugging skills and design patterns knowledge
• Experience with STL, boost, or WIN32 API·      
• Experience in the development of multi-threaded and multi-process applications·        
• Practice in unit tests development and continuous integration and hands-on experience with REST APIs and Git

Roles & Responsibilities :

(This role encompassing both API engineering using Java stack and web development. Experience in designing, developing, testing and successfully deploying critical and complex projects.)

Required Skill set :

• Java background with a minimum of 2 years experience in Java technologies.

• Add on : Experience with frontend technologies like CSS,HTML,Javascript, NodeJS/Express, Angular, React, ExtJS, Vue is preferred

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems and writing SQL queries

• Strong experience building, designing, and consuming Restful web services.

• Exposure of Cloud Infrastructure - AWS and Alibaba Cloud

• Excellent understanding of ORM and Database concepts

• Experience with developing unit test code using JUNIT, Power Mock/EasyMock/Mockito etc.

• Experience with Git, Maven and CI/CD pipelines to deploy on Cloud applications

• Experience & knowledge on Micro services Architecture and API development using Java, spring, Spring Boot

• Experienced in roles conducting requirements gathering, writing user stories, creating application design and using design patterns

• Good knowledge on credentials/secrets management and data encryption techniques

• Good knowledge on coding standards, design patterns, unit testing.

• Good hands - on BitBucket/Github is preferred.

Requirements
