Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Manager to lead our technical teams and oversee the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex technical projects. You will be reporting to the COO and assume “end-to-end” ownership of developing and delivering digital products to the clients across various verticals like healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of multiple technical/Engineering projects concurrently(4-5), ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Understands different programming languages and ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment
• Assist the sales team in the generation of technical proposals and cost estimates
• Add and maintain development sprints, dev backlogs, N+3 planning, and dev sprint milestones in ClickUp. Keeps project manager well informed of the status of development efforts through live dashboards and updated sprint plans and the projects are completed efficiently, correctly, and on schedule
• Define, manage and evaluate team members on goals and performance metrics. Give status updates to the leadership team at a bi-weekly level 
• Identifying process gaps, and dev inefficiencies in the organisation. Defining and driving SOPs to bridge the same

Skills Required

• Experience with full-stack architecture and development (Flutter/Reactjs/Node.js)
• Expertise in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud 
• Prior experience in at least one Relational/Non-relational database technology (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) 
• Experience with unit test frameworks and peer code review 
• Proficient in current development tools (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA) 
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and bug or crash monitoring tools. 
• Excellent communication with strong project management, team building stakeholder management, code review and management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Strong business acumen, ability to make decisions, and to take responsibility for outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and/or significant relevant work experience
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in a technical management role
• Experience in leading a team of highly skilled developers working on multiple client projects 
•  Should have worked with startups before and understand the fast-paced, dynamic nature of work 
• Experience managing products and projects, and delivering large scale technical solutions on time and on budget
• Experience leading a team of developers, engineers, and testers
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, including cross-functional teams, clients, and senior leadership
• Strong understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, and performance optimisation techniques
• Ability to work independently and highly organised
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure, microservices, and serverless architecture

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers to plan, implement and deliver tasks and modules on a timely basis with best practices and adherence to SOPs.

• Deliver end to end applications from front end web development, back end development, middleware integration and persisting data in no SQL or RDBMS databases.

Skills/Experience

• Strong knowledge of Java 8+, databases (SQL and NoSQL) , MySql, Mongo. Willing to learn new technologies (Golang).
• Experience working with Cassandra, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of any one or more of AngularJS/ReactJS/VueJS and CSS3, HTML5.
• Strong experience in data modelling for data storage tools in SQL; experience with noSQL is highly desirable.
• Experience building scalable solutions for 2x, 5x and 10x growth with high quality and flexibility.
• Practitioner of test driven development practices. Experience in creating and adhering to best practices for development.
• Experience working with container technologies like Docker and knowledge of CI/CD processes for automated integration and deployment. Basic knowledge of AWS preferred.
• Strong experience in Microservices (SRP) paradigm.

Qualification

B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA(IT/Computer Science)
