Senior Software Engineer

Nielsen, a global company specialising in audience measurement and analytics, is currently seeking a proficient leader in data engineering to join their team in Bangalore, Gurgaon, or Mumbai.

This is a manager of managers role that involves managing multiple scrum teams and overseeing an advanced data platform that analyses audience consumption patterns across various channels like OTT, TV, Radio, and Social Media worldwide. You will be responsible for building and supervising a top-performing data engineering team that delivers data for targeted campaigns. Moreover, you will work with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and other data engineering technologies such as Spark, Scala/Python, Kafka, etc. There may also be opportunities to establish deep integrations with OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and other.

Job description:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Java application phases, code, and software
• Work as part of a software development team
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code per specifications and test to ensure designs are in compliance with the specifications
• Analyze user requirements to determine how to translate into Java

Responsibilities:
·Identify strong potential prospects and generate quality leads from designated target geographies.
·Using different online research tools to extract the contact information of prospects.
·Handle the initial discussions and collect the strategic information about the prospects through cold calling, e-mailing LinkedIn, and other sources.
·Identify the decision-maker through different channels and ensuring the optimum conversion within a short span of time.
·Understand complex requirements of the prospects and bringing up the projects for the company.
·Continue prospect engagement and account management throughout the sales cycle until closure.

Technical Skills and Qualification

• Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and applications.
• Should be comfortable for 40%-60% coding.
