The Role

Own and evolve the infrastructure powering Peliqan's multi-tenant data platform. You'll manage Kubernetes clusters, cloud resources, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring — keeping everything reliable, secure, and scalable. You'll be the go-to person for infrastructure support across the engineering team.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters running production workloads — data pipelines, APIs, and customer-facing services.

Maintain Docker-based local development environments for the engineering team.

Administer cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud (compute, storage, networking, managed databases).

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deploying across staging and production.

Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging for platform health and incident response.

Manage release processes — deployments, rollbacks, and release strategies.

• Maintain infrastructure-as-code using Helm charts.
• Support security hardening and compliance efforts (SOC 2, GDPR).

Requirements

3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role.

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts.

Deep familiarity with Docker for containerisation and local dev workflows.

Production experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and tooling.
• Solid grasp of DevOps principles: infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, observability, continuous delivery.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms or data infrastructure at scale.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or cloud-managed database administration.
• Exposure to security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

Troubleshooting and Supporting Escalations:

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations across infrastructure, databases, web, and mobile applications
• Implement strategies to increase system reliability and performance through on-call rotation and process optimization
• Perform and run blameless RCAs on incidents and outages aggressively, looking for answers that will prevent the incident from ever happening again

Do you have the right ingredients? (Requirements)

• Extensive industry experience with at least 7+ years in SRE and/or DevOps roles
• Polyglot technologist/generalist with a thirst for learning
• Deep understanding of cloud and microservice architecture and the JVM
• Experience with tools such as APM, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience developing software or software projects in at least four languages, ideally including two of Go, Python, and Java
• Experience with cloud computing technologies ( AWS cloud provider preferred)

• Strong experience in creating, importing and launching volumes with security groups, auto-scaling, Load Balancers, Fault-tolerant
• Experience in configuring Jenkins job with related Plugins for     Building, Testing, and Continuous Deployment to accomplish the complete CI/CD.

• Ensure reliable operation of CI/CD pipelines
• Orchestrate the provisioning, load balancing, configuration, monitoring and billing of resources in the cloud environment in a highly automated manner
• Logging, metrics and alerting management.
• Creation of Bash/Python scripts for automation
• Performing root cause analysis for production errors.

• 2 years experience as Team Lead.
• Good Command on kubernetes.
• Proficient in Linux Commands line and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in AWS Services. Deployment, Monitoring and troubleshooting applications in AWS.
• Hands-on experience with CI tooling preferably with Jenkins.
• Proficient in deployment using Ansible.
• Knowledge of infrastructure management tools (Infrastructure as cloud) such as terraform, AWS cloud formation etc.
• Proficient in deployment of applications behind load balancers and proxy servers such as nginx, apache.
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Groovy.
• Experience with Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting tools like ELK(Elastic-search, Logstash, Kibana), Nagios. Graylog, splunk Prometheus, Grafana is a plus.
