About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Java-based applications. You will lead automation, deployment, and cloud infrastructure efforts, ensuring efficient CI/CD pipelines and scalable, secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD Management: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Java applications using Jenkins/GitLab.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable applications.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters for streamlined deployment.
• Automation & Scripting: Write efficient scripts (Python, Bash) for automation tasks related to infrastructure and deployments.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices for cloud environments and containerized applications.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack for monitoring system health and optimizing performance.
• Collaboration: Work with developers to enhance deployment workflows and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Skills

• Programming: Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• DevOps Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP with hands-on infrastructure management.
• Containers: Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Networking & Security: Understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and IAM policies.
• Version Control: Git and GitHub/Bitbucket experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Management:

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux environments.
• Create and manage Linux users on EC2 instances.
• Handle AWS services, including ECR, EKS, EC2, SNS, SES, S3, RDS,
• Lambda, DocumentDB, IAM, ECS, EventBridge, ALB, and SageMaker.
• Perform start/stop operations for SageMaker and EC2 instances.
• Solve IAM permission issues.

Containerization and Deployment:

• Create and manage ECS services.
• Implement IP whitelisting for enhanced security.
• Configure target mapping for load balancers and manage Glue jobs.
• Create load balancers (as needed).

CI/CD Setup:

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.

Database Management:

• o Manage PostgreSQL RDS instances, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.5 years of experience in a AWS and DevOps.
• Strong experience with Linux administration.
• Proficient in AWS services, particularly ECR, EKS, EC2, SNS, SES, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, IAM, ECS, EventBridge, ALB, and SageMaker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and database management.

Role & Responsiblities

• DevOps Engineer will be working with implementation and management of DevOps tools and technologies.
• Create and support advanced pipelines using Gitlab.
• Create and support advanced container and serverless environments.
• Deploy Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and cloud formation templates.
• Implement deployments to OpenShift Container Platform, Amazon ECS and EKS
• Troubleshoot containerized builds and deployments

Required Skillsets

• 3-5 years of cloud-based architecture software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and its architecture.
• Mastery of cloud security engineering tools, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience with AWS services such as Amazon S3, EKS, ECS, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, etc.
• Experience with designing and supporting infrastructure via Infrastructure-as-Code in AWS, via CDK, CloudFormation Templates, Terraform or other toolset.
• Experienced with tools like Jenkins, Github, Puppet or other similar toolset.
• Experienced with monitoring functions like cloudwatch, newrelic, graphana, splunk, etc,
• Excellence in verbal and written communication, and in working collaboratively with a variety of colleagues and clients in a remote development environment.
• Proven track record in cloud computing systems and enterprise architecture and security

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent Education
• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant technical position.
• Azure and/or AWS experience
• Strong in CI/CD concepts and technologies like GitOps (Argo CD)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps Tools (Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Checkmarx)
• Experience with Helm Charts for package management
• Strong in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Container Network Interface (CNI)
• Experience with programming and scripting languages (Spring Boot, NodeJS, Python)
• Strong container image management experience using Docker and distroless concepts
• Familiarity with Shared Libraries for code reuse and modularity
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Experience in architecting and deploying AWS Landing Zone architecture with CI/CD pipeline

Experience on architecture, design of AWS cloud services to address scalability, performance, HA, security, availability, compliance, backup and DR, automation, alerting and monitoring and cost

Hands-on experience in migrating applications to AWS leveraging proven tools and processes including migration, implementation, cutover and rollback plans and execution

Hands-on experience in deploying various AWS services e.g. EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Security Groups etc. using either manual or IaC, IaC is preferred

Hands-on Experience in writing cloud automation scripts/code such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation Template (AWS CFT) etc.

Hands-on Experience with application build/release processes CI/CD pipelines
