Responsibilities:
- Good Knowledge in Sketching and Painting (BFA Preferable).Interpret concept art and sketches to create virtual characters, environments and props
- Follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions and other technical constraints
- Prototype and iterate on models and characters based on feedback from team members
- Optimize, refine and correct model geometry
- Rig models and characters for animation
- Color characters, add Textures and shade the given characters based on the material used
- Create textures that generate visual interest and define the characteristics.
- Generate the output within the time frame by understanding the desired output.
- Create a UV map and Occlusion map
- Work with artists, animators and programmers to execute projects on time
- Keep abreast with the latest developments in 3D design, capture and modeling tools and technologies
Requirements
- Good Knowledge in Sketching and Painting (BFA Preferable).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a 3D artist(Modeling and texturing)
- Good organization skills.
- Good Knowledge of 3D Modeling, Lighting and Rendering.
- Excellent knowledge of real-time modeling techniques (shaders, PBR, normal, displacement etc. )
- Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills and demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity.
- Strong high & low-resolution modeling and texturing skills.
- Good experience in the video game industry with 3D packages, preferably Maya or 3DSMax & ZBrush.
- Experience working on published mobile games would be a strong advantage.
- College Diploma/Degree in graphic design, 3D, video game development or equivalent training.
