Role Summary
As the HR Lead, you will own and build HR end-to-end — from talent acquisition and employer branding to performance management, compensation, compliance, employee engagement, and HR analytics.
This is a hands-on role suited for a builder who can set up scalable People Operations processes in a fast-moving product startup.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Manage full-cycle hiring across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, QA, and Operations.
- Create structured hiring workflows — JDs, sourcing plans, scorecards, and interview loops.
- Build an employer branding playbook (careers page, social content, referral program, and events).
People Operations & Experience
- Design onboarding/offboarding experiences (pre-boarding, day-1, 30/60/90 plans, exit interviews).
- Implement and manage HRIS/ATS systems, attendance, asset management, and documentation.
- Drive engagement through town halls, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and surveys.
Performance, Growth & Rewards
- Implement OKRs and quarterly performance reviews with competency matrices.
- Partner with leadership on compensation benchmarking, offer structures, and ESOP administration.
- Identify learning needs and plan L&D initiatives, mentorships, and manager enablement programs.
Policies, Compliance & Risk (India)
- Draft and maintain HR policies (Code of Conduct, Hybrid Work, Leave, IT/Security, Travel).
- Ensure statutory compliance: POSH (ICC setup), PF/ESI/PT, Shops & Establishments, Gratuity.
- Oversee payroll inputs, proof collection, and all employment letters (Offer, Probation, Confirmation).
- Manage vendor contracts (background checks, insurance, wellness) and maintain data privacy practices.
Culture & Communication
- Foster a respectful, inclusive culture; manage grievance and disciplinary procedures fairly.
- Keep leadership informed through concise updates, backed by HR data and insights.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of HR/People Ops experience in high-growth startups or product companies.
- Proven track record in setting up recruitment pipelines and HR processes from scratch.
- Strong understanding of Indian HR compliance: POSH, S&E, PF/ESI/PT, Payroll, Gratuity.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS/ATS tools, dashboards, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and confidentiality handling skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have)

Who are you?
