Job Description

MangoApps is looking for a Senior QA - Mobile for our Enterprise SaaS platform/product. Working as part of the Engineering team, and with a goal to provide a world-class customer experience consistently, you will take up the complete end-to-end ownership of the native mobile apps (both iOS and Android). You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other stakeholders to achieve the release objectives. You will drive all stages of the test management - the development and execution of test plans, test strategy, estimation, test execution, defect management and test report.

You will bring a customer centric mindset to be able to look at the product from different angles, with different perspectives and test it with different expectations. Your ultimate aim is not to find bugs but to make the product qualitative. You will build a great understanding of the product and test it while considering different factors like functionality, performance, security and be the detective who owns the big responsibility of signing the product as “TESTED”.

Responsibilities:

• You bring a strong understanding of Android and iOS app development, as well as experience with both manual and automated testing with different mobile devices - OS combinations with different configurations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, ensuring thorough coverage of all features and functionalities to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Design and implement complex test scenarios to validate application behaviour under various conditions, including edge cases and boundary conditions.
• Lead the creation of large testing data sets to simulate real-world scenarios and ensure robust testing coverage.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve issues, as well as implement robust testing strategies to meet our high standards of quality.
• Conduct regular regression testing to identify and address potential issues introduced by new developments or changes.
• Document and prioritize defects using bug tracking systems and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Experience with testing specialties such as compatibility, performance, security to ensure the quality of mobile applications across different dimensions, ultimately delivering a superior user experience.
• Generate detailed test reports summarizing test results, defect metrics, and overall product quality, and share findings with stakeholders to provide visibility into project status and quality assurance efforts.
• Knowledge of automation and developing automated test scripts and frameworks for improved mobile app performance would be a bonus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mobile QA testing, preferably in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Test case management tools and with CI/CD tools like Gitlab.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.

What does the role look like?

We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE). Should be an excellent individual contributor capable of understanding and driving test execution with minimal help. Who can work towards understanding application performance, functionality, and features to great depth enabling them to report issues, take ownership and drive them to closure.

What will you be doing?
 Develop and execute automated tests and test plans
 Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of the products(API and App)
 Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
 Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
 Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
 Work with Engineering and product to understand the overall product requirements and technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
 Ensure the highest quality product delivery with security.
 Evaluating and integrate open source and in house developed toolsets

What will you need ?
 Bachelor/Master degree in CS or related field from a reputed college
 Experience in manual testing for Application and APIs
 Experience in automation testing using available framework.
 Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks and tools
 Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test execution and reporting.
 Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical partners.
 Understanding & experience with software design pattern, restful APIs and microservice architecture
 Prior experience in start-ups or health-tech will be a plus

Job Description:

• Works with team to drive improvements in code quality via manual testing
• Works to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed corporate quality goals
• Delivers on capabilities for the product suite automation strategy
• Develops manual and automated test cases and configurations needed to meet testing of business requirements
• Executes test cases/scripts to ensure delivery of quality software applications, including Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing 
• Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases
• Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards
• Creates logs to document testing phases and defects
• Monitors and tracks resolution of defects and takes part in daily standup 
• Designs, monitors, and analyzes quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results, and test status
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques
• Looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities

Qualification and Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience required
• 3+ years of experience in Technology, with an emphasis on QA, and proven ability in writing test cases, running functional or performance tests, and managing defects
• Solid experience in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC and STLC
• Working knowledge of test management software like Jira
• Strong in analytical skills and should be a team player
• Competent in executing test cases and passionate about quality
• Ability to handle conflict effectively

Requirements:
*2-4 years of experience

*Ability to do stress testing + has knowledge of IT security (rate limiting, DDOS attacks etc)

*Proven Manual testing experience is a must.
*Good knowledge of Node.js and it's test platforms

*Automation exp will be a plus

* Should have experience in scripting (shell or python).

*Selenium experience and experience in managing CI/CD for code deployments is a plus
*Experience working with tools for version control (Git)
*Analytical and logical thinking with natural curiosity
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

QA Engineer

You will impact our users directly! This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success. Your job will often require coordination between multiple Development, Product,  Operations and Business groups, so you get to experience a breadth of impact with various groups.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, obsessed with customer experience, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.

Position Overview

• You will be responsible for all testing of an entire project across various platforms
• You will own the development and execution of test plans and test cases for multiple features of an application
• You will develop and maintain testing strategies, including manual and automation testing.
• You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.
• You will participate in design and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans.
• You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
• You will promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Experience in manual testing across android app, mobile web and desktop applications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Expertise in test methodologies and test processes.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and generate test cases from them
• Good in communicating with developers and technical leaders, even if they are remote.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.
• Should be able to generate test reports and dashboards for management communication.
