Role Overview:

As a Manual Tester Intern at Arcitech AI, you will play a crucial role in our advancements in the Software and IT sector. • Ability to conduct white box testing

Manual Tester with Airlines Cargo domain experience

•       Experience: 5–12 Years

•       Locations: Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Cochin

Skillset and Responsibilities of Agile QA

Skillset:

• Experienced test analyst or consultant with 6-10 years of experience in software testing

• Robust knowledge and prior experience in Airline Cargo domain

• Prior work experience in Agile scrum or SAFe 

• Experience in requirement understanding and user story grooming 

• Ability to understand the functionality of the application under test

• Testing Tools: Microfocus ALM, JIRA, ReadyAPI, Enterprise Architect

• Prior experience in backend service testing with ReadyAPI or Postman, API debugging/root cause analysis

• Working knowledge of microservice architecture and cloud database

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline (GIT etc)

• Working experience in defect management process and tools 

• Working knowledge or experience in automation tools (Cypress, Selenium) will be nice to have

 Responsibilities:

 • Define the functional and technical approach to the implementation of the tests

• Help estimate the scope and size of the testing effort for each user story/product backlog within the PI Planning

• Analyze user stories and design/develop Test Models and Test cases

• Review test model and test cases with BA / Product Owner

• Develop backend test suites in readyAPI for user story testing 

• Identify frontend regression test cases and handover to TA team for automation

• Develop and maintain automated test suites for microservices 

• Execute automated backend regression test suites in pipeline for iterations and PROD releases

• Analyze of test results, defect logging and retest

• Work closely with developers to assess and advise on testability

• Test throughout the sprint

• Work collaboratively and productively with the product owner /Business owner and the customer to form acceptance criteria, Help to define definition of done (DoD)

• Present tested feature within iteration reviews and system demos 

• Attend and actively participate in PI Plannings  

• Participate all sprint planning , pre- and post sprint release ceremonies

• Meet with developers and BAs for short hand-off demonstrations and share the iteration demos with the devs 

• Attend sprint retrospectives and ART retrospectives 

• Help in Determining and advising which tests should be automated at which layer

• Help the developers or the TA team in writing automated tests and analyze the results of the automated tests

We are looking for an experienced QA Test Automation Engineer to be part of our team. Your understanding of functional testing, writing maintainable tests, written and verbal communication skills will be put to the test.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute manual testing activities.
• Manage release from the QA perspective and keep the affected parties informed.
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvements.
• Preparing test cases for unit, integration and end-end testing.
• Plan and manage automation testing strategy for QDC.

Design test plans, write test cases, review functional requirement documentation, and present test strategies for team review

• Conduct integration, regression, ad-hoc, and edge-case testing as part of release cycles
• Analyze complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system
• Understand and represent customer needs in product feedback discussions
• Participate in release management and post deployment testing
• Work closely with developer team to ensure proper test coverage is done
• Documentation and Release cycle

Job Profile Requirement : 

Experience of testing web applications, mobile applications.

• Knowledge of Responsive Testing
• Working knowledge of functional, GUI, Performance and Regression testing
• Strong knowledge of QA procedures, principles, and tools.
• Strong verbal and written (technical) communication skills to explain bugs and other issues identified and produce bug reports, documentation and feedback to both product owners and software developers.
• Ability to work in an environment of perfection and compliance to web standards and high design quality benchmarks.
• Strong organisational and time management skills - know what you need to do, and DO IT!

1. Development and Test Automation experience through Test Driven Development (TDD)
2. Establishing and executing Automated testing strategy for mobile apps with Tools like Perfecto Mobile/Appium or Web Driver/Selenium, TestNG and continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Git, Stampede etc.
3. Sound knowledge in JAVA is must have
4. Experience in Mobile AppDev and Test management tool (JIRA, qTest) and
5. Monitoring/Troubleshooting Tools Splunk, DynaTrace, SOAP UI

• Play an active role in QA activities during all phases of our product development from requirements elaboration, design/development, test and deployment
• Responsible for manual and automated testing activities for a multi-tier web-based platform. This includes writing test cases based on business requirements, test data creation, creating and maintaining automated scripts to test front-end, APIs and database changes
• Creating and maintaining all QA related documentation throughout the process
• Execution of the test phase consistent with the overall project schedules
• Direct interaction/facilitation of bug resolution with engineering teams
• Work effectively within a dynamic team environment following standards and best practices and ensure the highest level of quality
• Ability to understand the technical architecture, its implementation, design patterns, data representations and infrastructure powering these systems.
• Work closely with software devs and solution architects to understand the tech stack, design and accordingly build the test frameworks, setup infra and build execution models to drive the end-to-end quality efforts of backend systems/services and client apps
• Debug test failures, read through logs, network calls and make preliminary root cause analysis of defect/bug
• Develop test plans, test cases, test design documents with good coverage and optimised testing approach
• Should be able to identify the test cases qualifying for test automation
• Use of tracking tools to log, manage, resolve and report on bugs

Candidate requirements

Must have

• At least 2-4 years of experience in manual and automated quality assurance
• Experience on automation tools like TestNG, Selenium (Grid, parallel, SauceLabs), Mocha_Chai frontend or backend test automation
• Good understanding of REST APIs and a solid experience in testing them
• Tools like Jira, Asana or similar bug tracking tool, Confluence - Wiki, Jenkins - CI tool
• Knowledge of different browsers and cross-platform operating systems
• Keen eye for design and functional UX
• Strong in writing SQL queries
• Proficiency in git
• Ability to develop or maintain applications for test automation
• Excellent written and oral communication and organisational skills with the ability to work within a growing company with increasing needs
• Proven track record of ability to handle time-critical projects

Good to have

• Experience in working in a distributed micro-service environment
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or any other programming language
• Hands-on experience in testing frameworks like Pytest or testing platforms like BrowserStack
• Built APIs at some point and practical knowledge on working with them
• Good understanding of CI/CD
• Ability to independently manage test environment deployments and handle issues around it
• Performed load testing of API endpoints
• Should have built an API test automation framework from scratch and maintained it
