Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated QA Manual Tester to join our team in Mohali. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on maintaining high-quality software standards through rigorous testing and collaboration across multiple platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for both web and mobile platforms.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing for complex websites and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Identify, record, and track bugs thoroughly using Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements and ensure timely bug fixes.
• Participate in requirement analysis to provide early feedback on potential issues or edge cases.
• Ensure that every release meets the defined quality standards and user experience requirements.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent performance and UI/UX integrity.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
• Proven experience in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS) and responsive web applications.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and STLC frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and mobile-specific debugging tools.
• Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and converting them into actionable test scenarios.
• Ability to manage the bug life cycle from discovery to verification.
• Strong analytical thinking with a sharp eye for detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of quality assurance principles. You will play a key role in ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for complex technical projects.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Identify, log, and track defects through the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
• Participate in release validation, UAT, and production support activities.
• Provide detailed test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Apply QA methodologies and best practices to improve overall product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Junior Quality Assurance (QA) engineer role and responsibility includes:

• Understanding the product requirement.
• Develop use cases and test cases
• Execute functional and regression testing (It also includes uncovering the bugs early in the product life cycle by doing manual and automated tests to ensure product quality)
• You are responsible for conducting various levels of testing before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective.

We are seeking a skilled QA engineer who has experience in automation. Candidates from startup eco-system will be preferred.

Requirements:

• Have worked on JS based automation framework i.e. Protractor or Puppeteer.
• Have minimum of 2 years of strong experience in front-end automation.
• Understand how Single Page Apps work.
• Experience of automating API tests (our current automation is via C#).
• Understand how CI/CD works.

• BE/B-Tech/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in QA.

• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
