Software Engineer — Full-Stack (Next.js / React / TypeScript)

About Us

Mega Style Apartments operates premium 1–4-bedroom furnished flats for business travellers, families, students and professionals.

Technology is now core to our growth, and you’ll be our first in-house developer.

You’ll work directly with:

• our director (acting CTO) for product vision & architecture, and
• a senior operations manager for day-to-day priorities & domain insight.

What You’ll Do

• Ship guest-facing features with Next.js 15 + React 19
• Build internal tools that automate operations & surface data (LLMs where useful)
• Own the cycle — idea → code → deploy → measure → iterate
• Set up CI/CD on Vercel and keep tech-debt low
• Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Windsurf, v0 …) to move faster without sacrificing quality
• Post daily WhatsApp updates and demo something usable every Friday

Must-Have Skills

• 2 + yrs delivering production web apps end-to-end
• Next.js App Router / RSC / Server Actions (or similar)
• React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, TanStack Query / Zustand / Jotai

Your primary responsibility will be to develop UI components, processes, documentation, and an organisation-wide style guide that can be reused across all applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Express, and related technologies

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3-5 years of experience in web application development using Node.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including experience with popular libraries and frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, and Mongoose
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of web protocols and technologies such as HTTP, REST, and WebSockets
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and SQL databases like MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git and version control
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

7 to 15 years of product QA experience, with at least 2 years of experience as QEM or EM

7+ years of experience as a SDET/automation engineer

5+ years of experience Testing software for mobile applications/ web applications on devices(Android/IPhone)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, or equivalent technical domain

Preferably with product based startup experience

Should have built automation competency using selenium, appium, web services and performance testing

Knowledge and application of concepts such as continuous integration, continuous build, dev ops.

Shows creativity and initiative to improve Test coverage and effectiveness.

Strong competency in project management, process management, Product quality management, people management and delivery management skills and experience

Good understanding and experience in working product development organisations, B2C product line, and mobile products.

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience in a DevOps role.
• Deep understanding of Amazon Web Services or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Proven record of infra automation and programming skills in any of these languages - Python, Ruby, Perl, Javascript.
• Implement DevOps Industry best practices and the application of procedures to achieve a continuously deployable system
• Continuously improve and increase the capabilities of the CI/CD pipeline
• Support engineering teams in the implementation of life-cycle infrastructure solutions and documentation operations in order to meet the engineering departments quality and standards
