Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you assist in the design development of new products for our renowned customers worldwide.

Enhancing the existing applications by identifying the areas of improvements, making recommendations and designing and implementing them.  

Ideal candidate should be a self-starter and, should have excellent problem-solving skills and passionate about developing high quality innovative products exceeding the customer expectations and needs. A keen interest for quality at every stage of development is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in discussion with Product Management teams and Generating the Requirement Specification document that has covers both the functional and Non-functional requirements.
• Participating in discussion with the technical teams and generating the design documents.
• Develop code and update the existing code, ensuring that all the code meets the agreed upon requirements.
• Perform intensive testing of all new and existing programs to ensure they are free of errors and function as intended
• Work closely with the cross functional teams like UI Developers, Business Analysts and Management teams.
• Cultivate an environment of collaboration, commitment, accountability, and creativity and deliver products and services on time with quality delight the customer.
• Actively participating in the hiring process, for Organization growth.
• Updates job knowledge by studying latest development tools, programming techniques, and participating in professional organizations.
• Willing to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the organization.

Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge)

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any equivalent degree.

·        At least 3 plus years of hands on experience in developing cloud-based software.

·        Expertise in developing cloud based distributed applications and must have experience in object-oriented design.

·        Strong hands on experience in using Java, Hibernate, Spring technology stack (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Spring security etc.) along with open source technologies.

• Experience building web and mobile applications using frontend technologies Angular (Angular 1/Angular 2), Bootstrap, Material Design, UX/UI, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.

·        Experience on any one of databases like MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

·        Exposure with more than one of the Software Development Methodologies.

·        Knowledge on the Code Static Analyzer tools like SonarQube, PMD etc. and, DevOps Tools.

·        Expertise in Security related to Web Applications and mobile applications. and other open source and commercial tools.

·        Ability to work independently and along with teams.

·        Impeccable written English skills, and Oral communication skills along with outstanding interpersonal skills.

·        Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.

• · 3+ years of software engineering experience primarily leveraging ReactJS. · Strong engineering and technical background with demonstrable enterprise development experience using ReactJS and RESTful APIs. · Deep understanding of JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5 and CSS. · Experience using Redux, Web Workers and PWAs. · Experience with continuous integration and build (CI/CD) process & tools. · Proven ability to quickly understand functional requirements and technical concepts. · Experience with TDD and familiarity with testing frameworks, ideally Cypress, Selenium and PACT. · Exposure to mobile development via React Native an advantage. GitHub portfolio an advantage.

At Kafqa, we are building the next generation performing arts platform. Our mission is to transform how India learns, performs & watchers performing arts. We are currently in stealth mode with a target public launch date in April. Founder & Team

The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business. The other members of the founding team consist of senior executives from Shiamak Davar & Byju’s.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend engineer with ReactJS development experience to join our team.
Here’s are some of the things you might have to do on any given day:

• Implement responsive and performant UIs with user centered approach with frontend technologies including ReactJS, Javascript(ES 6), Typescript, SCSS, etc
• Write meaningful test cases for frontend &amp
• Develop Infrastructure for delivering services using a performance driven approach, build databases, schedule automated jobs, etc

Ideal Background / Experience

• At least 12 months of diverse experience in web development for product or services oriented environment with exposure to working production deployments
• Expertise in programming using Python/ReactJS or similar scripting languages
• In-depth exposure to technologies used in web-based SaaS products, including REST APIs
• Sound understanding of Postgres and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

Nice to have exposure to any of

• AWS
• Azure
• ELK
• Object Relational Models (SQLAlchemy, etc)
• Google APIs
• Microservices Architecture Pattern
• NodeJS / ExpressJS

Responsibilities :

1. Develop user-facing stack from scratch
2. Build reusable code and libraries for future use
3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
4. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
5. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Technology Skills :

1. Proven 4 years work experience as a ReactJS Frontend developer
2. In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
3. Good experience with Typescript and ReactJS (17.x). NodeJS knowledge is a plus.
4. Familiarity with Unit Testing Frameworks, UI Testing, Monorepos and Graphql principles
5. Knowledge of Alerting and Monitoring tools
6. Knowledge of SPA principles
7. UI Performance: should have hands on experience of optimising page load, rendering, caching
8. Sense for appeal & aesthetics from a usability perspective.

Senior Full Stack Engineer

• 3+ years of relevant experience in software development building web applications
• Demonstrated technical capability developing applications using Node JS, Express/NestJS/SailsJS, and any industry-standard RDBMS
• Well acquainted with cutting edge front-end frameworks like React, Javascript dialects like ES6, TypeScript
• CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation HTML5, CSS3 and tools like Gulp/Webpack
• Strong analytical and problem- solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
• Enjoys and gets energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions
• Ability to work both independently and in various team settings

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

● Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

● Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

● Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript

● Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)

● Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
