QA Engineer

Profile

Purpose of Role: To support and maintain the existing and future applications managed by ABD (Agile Business Development) Team.

Main Responsibilities:

• To work on existing and future applications as required
• Work with ABD India Application Support and Business Support team to address production issues and/or to do development work
• Work with US ABD team to coordinate the on-going support and monthly release of C-Hub (Customer-Hub) application and other ABD Applications
• Report status to management on project progress
• Identify and escalate related issues and risks
• Coordinate with others in Development and Business Support team to implement new features of SQL Server/ MS Web based technologies 
• Assess current modules and offer performance improvements techniques  
• Make sure Database Design Standards/coding standards established by ABD are followed
• Constant communication with ABD leadership team in US.
• Problem Solving ability with “Can-do” attitude
• IT experience in Banking industry is preferred

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience and bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent with good communication Skill
• Strong background in Microsoft Technologies and SDLC concepts. Should have experience in below technologies:
• Microsoft .Net (ASP.NET & ASP .NET CORE)
• C#, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery /Angular 2 +(Angular version 2 or higher), Typescript
• MVC and WebAPI
• MS SQL Server management Studio (SSMS) to develop database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, views, triggers, constraints etc. and look for performance tuning and Exception handling for these components
• Good to have: Understanding of MS Excel VBA /MS-access/ macro codes

• Proven experience as a .NET Developer or https://resources.workable.com/application-developer-job-description" target="_blank">Application Developer
• Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
• Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

JD-

MySQL - DBA L3 Support

# 7 -10  years of experience in MySQL, handled multiple versions & flavors of MySQL servers both for standalone & enterprise version, Data center and VM/Cloud setup.

# Strong database Configuration and troubleshooting / problem solving skills.

# Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery concepts and practices.

# Enabling disabling scheduled Jobs on MySQL Server

# Work with Dev and DevOps engineers to ensure that all needed data is gathered and provided to them for any performance issues

# Experience in managing both on-prem DB as well as VM / cloud based DBs

# Maintenance of backups (perform backups, monitor backup, report obsolete backups)

# Maintenance of user access (creating user accounts, dropping user accounts, granting privileges)

# Maintenance of log and trace files (remove, initialize, archive them)

# Knowledge on SQL scripts

# Managing Database administration includes Daily health checks, Database tuning, Query optimization & Backup & Replication

# Experience in alert configurations using existing alerting tools or scripts

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans, test environment and test scenarios for new product features
• Improve test efficiency by adapting an automated approach 

Requirements:

• Should have 1-3 years of IT experience in software testing/automation
• Should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering/technology from a reputed college/university
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Should be a good team player who enjoys collaborating with others 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python, Shell Scripting
• Experience in JavaScript test automation frameworks – Protractor/Selenium/TestNG (Primary)
• Experience in developing Continuous Integration pipelines using Jenkins and GitHUB Actions
• Experience with Source control such as GitHUB
• Experience in working with Postgres, Oracle , SQL DB
• Experience in Docker and any other containerization platform.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with the following is a bonus:

• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Follow coding standards, unit testing, code reviews etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of experience in building highly scalable backend systems.
• Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as JAVA, Operating System may be required, and Experience in Databases such as MySQL or Postgre SQL
• Strong understanding of Computer Science Fundamentals, Data Structures and Algorithms, SOLID Design Principles, and REST Patterns.
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.

• Execute in an agile environment using industry standard tools and delivering weekly code releases Develop and test for cross browser, cross platform applications.
• Experience in product designing, distributed architecture.
• Have a demonstrated track record of End to End product engineering responsibility
