Job Description

This is a remote position.

Experience Level

This role is ideal for a Test Craftsperson (Manual QA Engineer) with 3+ years of hands-on experience. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in testing methodologies, an adaptable mindset, and an eagerness to leverage modern tools.

Role Overview

As a Test Craftsperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking bugs, and ensuring that our software meets the highest standards before it reaches our clients.

We look for individuals who are technology-agnostic—capable of quickly adapting to different tech stacks—and who possess great AI expertise, utilizing AI tools responsibly to augment, accelerate, and elevate their testing workflows.

What You'll Do

• Perform Manual Testing to ensure the quality and craftsmanship of our software products.
• Develop and execute detailed Test Cases and Test Plans.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar Bug Tracking systems.
• Conduct Regression Testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive Functional Testing and Cross-Browser Testing.
• Perform API Testing to verify the functionality and reliability of backend services.
• Leverage AI tools responsibly to optimize test case generation, analyze bug patterns, and accelerate documentation workflows, while maintaining human-in-the-loop quality control.
• Maintain thorough Documentation of test cases, test results, and any issues encountered.

Requirements

What We're Looking For



• 3+ years of experience in manual QA, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Tech-Agnostic Mindset: Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and test applications built across diverse and evolving technology stacks.
• AI Expertise: Practical experience using AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or specialized QA AI tools) to write better test cases, generate test data, or increase daily testing efficiency.
• Experience with Test Case Development, Test Plans, and Bug Tracking tools.
• Proficiency in Regression Testing, Functional Testing, and Cross-Browser Testing.
• Familiarity with API Testing; basic knowledge of automated testing tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Experience with Accessibility Standards and Testing is a plus.

What does the role look like?

We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE). Should be an excellent individual contributor capable of understanding and driving test execution with minimal help. Who can work towards understanding application performance, functionality, and features to great depth enabling them to report issues, take ownership and drive them to closure.

What will you be doing?
 Develop and execute automated tests and test plans
 Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of the products(API and App)
 Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
 Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
 Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
 Work with Engineering and product to understand the overall product requirements and technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
 Ensure the highest quality product delivery with security.
 Evaluating and integrate open source and in house developed toolsets

What will you need ?
 Bachelor/Master degree in CS or related field from a reputed college
 Experience in manual testing for Application and APIs
 Experience in automation testing using available framework.
 Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks and tools
 Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test execution and reporting.
 Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical partners.
 Understanding & experience with software design pattern, restful APIs and microservice architecture
 Prior experience in start-ups or health-tech will be a plus

Responsibilities:

-       Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications across various functionalities.

-       Develop and maintain automated test scripts using MSTest framework.

-       Identify and report bugs and defects through a bug tracking system.

-       Analyze test results, diagnose issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

-       Participate in code reviews to identify potential defects early in the development process.

-       Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies and best practices.

-       Contribute to the improvement of existing testing processes and documentation.

-       Work effectively within an Agile development environment.

-       Clearly communicate test findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

-       Proven experience in manual testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, exploratory testing).

-       Expertise in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using MSTest.

-       Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

-       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

-       Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

-       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-       Experience with API testing is a plus.

-       Familiarity with other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.

Job Description:

• Works with team to drive improvements in code quality via manual testing
• Works to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed corporate quality goals
• Delivers on capabilities for the product suite automation strategy
• Develops manual and automated test cases and configurations needed to meet testing of business requirements
• Executes test cases/scripts to ensure delivery of quality software applications, including Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing 
• Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases
• Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards
• Creates logs to document testing phases and defects
• Monitors and tracks resolution of defects and takes part in daily standup 
• Designs, monitors, and analyzes quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results, and test status
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques
• Looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities

Qualification and Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience required
• 3+ years of experience in Technology, with an emphasis on QA, and proven ability in writing test cases, running functional or performance tests, and managing defects
• Solid experience in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC and STLC
• Working knowledge of test management software like Jira
• Strong in analytical skills and should be a team player
• Competent in executing test cases and passionate about quality
• Ability to handle conflict effectively

What you need to have: 

• 2+ yrs experience with manual testing on mobile (automation testing is an advantage) 
• Manual testing experience in testing for Android & iOS is MUST
• JIRA or other bug tracking tool experience 
• The QA Analyst will be expected to complete manual testing on both iOS and Android devices, be able to enter findings into Jira, and follow up on defects discovered
• PRD Reviews, Test Case coverage and Execution, able to handle End to End Application testing and release process.
• API testing experience and Basic SQL knowledge
• ADB commands, Android Studio, Xcode, Understanding Logs, SDK’s.
• Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is maintained.                                                                                                                Good To Have Skills :
  • Experience in setting up automation testing infrastructure & writing automation testing scripts for Android, iOS & APIs
