Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

• Knowledge of the quality assurance and testing concepts, methodologies, metrics, automated testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Should have knowledge/experience in creating Test Plans, Test scripts, Test cases.
• Collaborate well with others. Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
• Preferred knowledge/understanding of different mobile operating systems (Android, iOS)
• Preferred knowledge/experience testing both front-end (GUI)and back-end (database query) applications                                                        
• Experience using Git / Github

Requirement :

- Good Understanding Software development life cycle and testing lifecycle

- Good at testing Mobile, Web and API

- Basics of performance and load testing

- Experience in financial service would be preferred

- Fearless - not afraid to suggest or back big ideas however disruptive they may be

- Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)

- Good level in SQL/database

- Candidate with at least 2-4 years.

This person MUST have: 

- BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent. 

- Experience testing IOT devices managed by cloud. 

- Manual testing experience and a desire to learn and work with the latest technologies. Web, Cloud and Mobile App testing. 

- Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; schedule and execute test cycles; contribute to testability & quality of software. 

- Reports all defects accurately; facilitate problem tracking and successful resolution; assess and communicate various risks involved and provide necessary assistance to engineers and stakeholders. 

- Basic knowledge of automation know-how [ API automation, Python] - Test to fail mindset, Solid test strategy experience, well versed with QA processes. - Hands on experience on Performance test angle.

- Not more than 10 year experience.

Timings:

- 40 hours a week (9 PM IST to 2 AM IST(10 hours in your suitable time) , Monday to Saturday).

• Lead and manage a team that:
• Reviews and refines software requirements.
• Drafts and executes test plans and test cases.

• Maintains test environments that mimic our production systems.
• Maintains and updates Selenium driven UI automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates ReadyAPI API automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates manual test cases.
• Maintains and updates JMeter performance/load test cases.
• Coach, mentor, and assist the team in performing their duties as needed.
• Provide formal QA approval and reporting for each release.
• Operate within the SAFe Agile methodology.
• Coordinate with other QA teams across the company.

• Experience leading a SQA or Software Development team
• Experience managing projects and processes cross-functionally

• Automation planning, execution, and triage for projects on multiple Platforms.
• Excellent presentation skills, distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways
• In-depth knowledge and experience in identity management including OpenID Connect, SAML2, OAuth2, and SCIM.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of application security testing.
• Unix command line scripting skills

As a QA/SDET Engineer, you would be expected to :- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback- Estimate, Prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities- Build and design test cases- Design, develop, debug and execute automation scripts using open source tools- Understand functional/technical specifications and analyze server logs.- Look for potential quality issues proactively.Requirement :- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Preferably Java/Python)- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms- Good object-oriented design and coding skills- Good proficiency in Database querying- Strong expertise in UI, APIs (REST & SOAP) and database testing- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools- Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies

You'll be working as a freelance tester using your iPhone iOS (models 7, 8, or X), with opportunities to participate in test runs at your own discretion. You don't need to have experience in software QA (though you'll get up to speed faster if you do), but you'll need to stick with it if you've never done it before. Part of it is the thrill of the hunt, and the desire to understand the rules of a system and how to beat them.
