Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for project planning, scheduling and tracking of the project on a periodic basis through weekly and monthly progress reports based on inputs from the HOD Engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning
The position is responsible to plan and prepare the entire project activities from project initiation to completion in MS Projects. After seeking the proper approvals, the position then
Prepares initial schedule to work-out details in the form of bar charts and cash flows, while taking inputs from all concerned departments & authorities with reference to the master bar chart for drawings, manpower, material, machinery etc.
Coordinates with concerned parties and monitors the same from time to time for the purpose of tracking progress with regards to Planned vs Actual schedule.
Coordination for Execution
The position will coordinate with all the concerned departments with regards to execution of each stage by
Providing approved schedule to site team and explain the details on critical paths and activities
Providing specific information on schedule in terms of lead/lag (plan v/s actual) by visiting site as per requirements to check & verifying actual site progress
Tracking
The position will be responsible to monitor & track site activities, for all sites, through their daily progress report with regards to their respective master bar chart, especially activities such as:
Receipt of drawings
Raising Material Requests (M.R)
Receipt of P.O and W.O
Tracking and coordinating progress at manufacturing location
Coordination with procurement team
Coordination with site team
Prepare and submit stage wise tracing report to the concerned site team, P.M., HOD & Directors while maintaining records for all revisions.
Reports
The incumbent is responsible to prepare & submit various reports on periodical basis as per requirement, mainly
Monthly progress reports
Monthly/Quarterly Data for estimation department so as to prepare cash flow reports
Costing report (plan v/s actual) as required.
Education & Experience
The position will require at least a Bachelors of Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of scheduling software such as MSP (Microsoft Project) is mandatory. Experience of using any ERP will be preferred. At least 4-7 years of industry experience in a similar position is desirable.
