WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

We are looking for an experienced quantitative professional to develop, implement, test, and maintain the core algorithms and R&D framework for our Investment and investment advisory platform. The ideal candidate for this role has successfully implemented and maintained quantitative and statistical modules using modular software design constructs. The candidate needs to be a responsible product owner, a problem solver and a team player looking to make a significant impact on a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will directly report to the Head of Quant Research & Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The end-to-end research, development, and maintenance of investment platform, data and algorithms
• Take part in building out the R&D back testing and simulation engines
• Thoroughly vet investment algorithmic results
• Contribute to the research data platform design
• Investigate datasets for use in new or existing algorithms
• Participate in agile development practices
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather & understand the functional requirements
• Take part in code reviews ensuring quality meets highest level of standards
• Develop software using high quality standards and best practices, conduct thorough end-to-end unit testing, and provide support during testing and post go-live
• Support research innovation through the creative and aggressive experimentation of cutting-edge hardware, software, processes, procedures, and methods
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure appropriate requirements, standards, and integration

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in a quant research & development role
• Proficient in Python, Git and Jira
• Knowledge in SQL and database development (PostgreSQL is a plus)
• Understanding of R and RMarkdown is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computational mathematics, or financial engineering
• Master’s degree or advanced training is a strong plus
• Excellent mathematical foundation and hands-on experience working in the finance industry
• Proficient in quantitative, statistical, and ML/AI techniques and their implementation using Python modules such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, SciKit-Learn, etc.
• Strong communication (written and oral) and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong sense of attention to detail, pride in delivering high quality work and willingness to learn
• An understanding of or exposure to financial capital markets, various financial instruments (such as stocks, ETFs, Mutual Funds, etc.), and financial tools (such as Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Verification Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the validation of our AI and Machine Learning systems, ensuring that they meet all necessary quality assurance requirements and work reliably and optimally in real-world scenarios. The role requires strong analytical skills, a good understanding of AI and ML technologies, and a dedication to achieving excellence in the production of state-of-the-art systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute validation strategies and test plans for AI and ML systems, during development and on production environments.
2. Work closely with AI/ML engineers and data scientists in understanding system requirements and capabilities and coming up with key metrics for system efficacy.
3. Evaluate the system performance under various operating conditions, data variety, and scenarios.
4. Perform functional, stress, system, and other testing types to ensure our systems' reliability and robustness.
5. Create automated test procedures and systems for regular verification and validation processes, and detect any abnormal anomalies in usage.
6. Report and track defects, providing detailed information to facilitate problem resolution.
7. Lead the continuous review and improvement of validation and testing methodologies, procedures, and tools.
8. Provide detailed reports and documentation on system performance, issues, and validation results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in the testing and validation of AI/ML systems or equivalent complex systems.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of AI and ML concepts, tools, and frameworks.
4. Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, shell scripts etc.
5. Experience with AI/ML platforms and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-Learn.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to document and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

1.  A good understanding of various large language models, image models, and their comparative strengths and weaknesses.
2. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker.
3. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
4. Understanding of Data Analysis and Visualization tools and techniques.

• Proficiency with C# .Net . Experience in ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, API Development
• Have knowledge around various frameworks in .Net ecosystem (.Net framework , .Net core)
• Actively participate in system design, code reviews, and implementation of new features.
• Take complete ownership of tasks, which includes design , implementation, unit testing and deployment of product and service.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL , writing/ optimising complex queries, writing stored procedures , basic understanding of database performance tuning.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle. . Good problem solving skills, Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in version controlling tools.

• Proven experience as a Node.js Developer with a strong understanding of JavaScript and asynchronous programming.
• Hands-on experience/knowledge with AWS Lambda and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Node.js frameworks like Express.js or Hapi.js.
• Sound knowledge of AWS services, particularly API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda event sources, such as API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB Streams, and CloudWatch Events.
• Experience in integrating external services, APIs, and data sources into applications.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
