About the Role

We are looking for a strong Manual Tester with deep technical understanding of the product domain and system architecture. This role is hands-on and focuses on end-to-end quality ownership across Mobile and Web applications. Interviews will emphasize practical testing expertise, system thinking, and problem-solving—not automation frameworks or coding exercises.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough manual testing of Mobile (Android/iOS) and/or Web applications
• Analyze application behavior using tools like Android Studio, Xcode, and device/app logs
• Debug and investigate API failures, including response codes and error handling
• Validate backend workflows through database checks, cURL extraction, and Postman
• Understand and test end-to-end application flows, ensuring seamless interaction between frontend, backend, APIs, and databases
• Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigation, collaborating closely with developers
• Clearly document and communicate defects, impact, and test findings to engineering and product stakeholders
• Leverage AI tools to improve test coverage, efficiency, exploratory testing, and problem-solving within a manual testing setup

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in Mobile App and/or Web Application manual testing
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and how it connects to application workflows

• Experience testing complex, distributed systems

3 Mandatory Skills

1. Manual Testing Expertise (Mobile/Web) – Hands-on experience with Android/iOS or Web apps, including log analysis and debugging
2. Backend & API Understanding – API testing (Postman, cURL), DB validation, response code analysis, and root-cause investigation
3. Strong Technical Communication – Ability to clearly articulate issues, impact, and test results to developers and stakeholders

Roles and Responsibilities :-

● Test the overall system using appropriate testing techniques and

instruments.

● Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product.

● Execute all levels of testing (Integration, Regression and Sanity).

● Design and develop automation scripts when needed.

● Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.

Job Description :

Roots Innovation Labs is looking for a Test Engineer/ Software Delivery Lead with expertise in Selenium WebDriver for Creating Basic Test Cases. Managing and Tracking the projects for any given engagement

Roles and responsibilities :

1)Identifying customer needs and overseeing service delivery within the business context

2) Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
3) Test case execution for functional, performance and load testing

Lead, guide, and monitor the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of the test cases, test procedures, and test suites..
4)Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
5)Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
6)Planning, Executing, Managing, and Tracking the projects for any given engagement.
7)Building up and leading the Teams to the success of the project.
8)Leading and ensuring the project team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.

• Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.

• Working knowledge of programming.

• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset

• Experience in testing web-based applications.
• Experience in developing test cases and scenarios based on PRD/BRD/Use cases.
• Experience in testing Web Services
• Logging defects/bugs in the defect management tool
• Tracking the defects and retire them with appropriate test execution
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Tools and Technologies:

• Should have strong knowledge and hands-on with SQL, Java, and Selenium
• Good/Fair knowledge of angular framework and Protractor with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on with any of the defect management tools like Jira/Bugzilla
• Knowledge of J-meter, Soap UI is a plus

What you need to have: 

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, and provide meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Set up test environments
• Perform software testing to see if the software meets all the requirements
• Identify, document, and track issues found using appropriate tools
• Perform regression testing
• Help troubleshoot issues reported by customers
• Stay up to date with the latest testing tools and methodologies

Qualifications

• 1-3 Years work experience in QA
• Hands-on experience QA-ing web applications
• Familiarity with browser DevTools and ADB
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, JMeter, etc
• Experience with Agile frameworks and QA methodologies
• Experience using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc

Nice to have

• Experience working with LMSs
• Knowledge of basic SQL queries
• Experience using automated testing tools
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or Ruby
• Sense of humor

Candidate should have experince in L2 L3 Testing
