Role Overview
As a Lead Generation Executive for Freight Software Sales, you will reach out to logistics companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and supply chain businesses to introduce our software solutions. Your role is to generate interest, explain how our product solves their operational challenges, and book meetings for the sales team. This is a great entry point for freshers or early-career professionals passionate about logistics technology and B2B sales.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
• Identify and research target companies in the logistics and freight industry – freight forwarders, 3PLs, shipping companies, customs brokers, exporters/importers.
• Build prospect lists using LinkedIn, industry directories, and databases.
• Conduct outbound cold calls and LinkedIn outreach to introduce our freight software solutions.
• Send personalized emails highlighting how our software can improve their freight operations.
Product/Solution Communication
• Learn and understand our freight software features – shipment management, documentation, customs filing, tracking, analytics, and integrations.
• Explain the product benefits clearly to prospects in English and Hindi, tailoring the conversation to their specific pain points (e.g., manual processes, visibility gaps, compliance challenges).
• Address initial questions and objections confidently.
Appointment Setting & Lead Nurturing
• Qualify leads by understanding their current systems, pain points, and interest level.
• Book product demos and sales meetings for senior sales executives.
• Maintain regular follow-up to keep leads warm and move them through the funnel.
CRM & Reporting
• Log all prospect interactions accurately in CRM (HubSpot/Zoho/Salesforce).
• Report daily/weekly metrics: number of calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, and meetings scheduled.
What You Bring
• 0–2 years of experience in lead generation, tele-sales, or business development (freshers with excellent communication are welcome).
• Fluency in English and Hindi – both spoken and written.
• Interest in logistics, supply chain, or freight industry (prior exposure is a plus but not mandatory).
• Ability to understand and articulate software features in simple, benefit-driven language.
• Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable with cold outreach.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills; willingness to learn CRM and sales tools.
Nice to Have
• Background in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding operations.
• Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or prospecting databases.
