Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Python, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience automating deployments, managing containerized applications, and ensuring infrastructure reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and manage containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure tasks using Ansible & Python.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software delivery.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance.
• Enforce security best practices in containerized environments.
• Provide operational support and contribute to continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• 4+ years of DevOps experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure leveraging services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, SNS/SQS, EKS, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Develop and maintain reusable, modular IaC frameworks using Terraform and Terragrunt, and mentor team members on IaC best practices.
• Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployment workflows, and routine operations through advanced Python scripting.
• Take ownership of cost optimization strategy by analyzing usage patterns, identifying savings opportunities, and implementing guardrails across multiple AWS environments.
• Define and enforce infrastructure governance, including secure access controls, encryption policies, and secret management mechanisms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline and scale CI/CD pipelines for containerized microservices on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to ensure platform health, resilience, and performance.
• Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader, guiding junior engineers and shaping cloud adoption and DevOps culture across the organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools, recommending improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with security, regulatory, and operational standards, and drive initiatives around audit readiness and compliance.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• AWS (Advanced Expertise): VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, SNS/SQS, EKS, KMS, Secrets Management
• Infrastructure as Code: Extensive experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, including module design and IaC strategy
• Strong hold in Kubernetes
• Scripting & Automation: Proficient in Python, with a strong track record of building tools, automating workflows, and integrating cloud services

Job Purpose and Impact

The DevOps Engineer is a key position to strengthen the security automation capabilities which have been identified as a critical area for growth and specialization within Global IT’s scope. As part of the Cyber Intelligence Operation’s DevOps Team, you will be helping shape our automation efforts by building, maintaining and supporting our security infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand and evaluate business requirements.
• Implement modern engineering practices to ensure product quality.
