We are looking for a Data Engineer who is a self-starter to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment within our Enterprise Data team. This is an individual contributor role that is responsible for designing and developing of data solutions that are strategic for the business and built on the latest technologies and patterns,regional and global level by utilizing in-depth knowledge of data, infrastructure, technologies and data engineering experience.

Responsibilities

· Design, Architect, and Develop solutions leveraging cloud big data technology to ingest, process and analyze large, disparate data sets to exceed business requirements

· Develop systems that ingest, cleanse and normalize diverse datasets, develop data pipelines from various internal and external sources and build structure for previously unstructured data

· Interact with internal colleagues and external professionals to determine requirements, anticipate future needs, and identify areas of opportunity to drive data development

· Develop good understanding of how data will flow & stored through an organization across multiple applications such as CRM, Broker & Sales tools, Finance, HR etc

· Unify, enrich, and analyze variety of data to derive insights and opportunities

· Design & develop data management and data persistence solutions for application use cases leveraging relational, non-relational databases and enhancing our data processing capabilities

· Develop POCs to influence platform architects, product managers and software engineers to validate solution proposals and migrate

· Develop data lake solution to store structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources and provide technical guidance to help migrate colleagues to modern technology platform

· Contribute and adhere to CI/CD processes, development best practices and strengthen the discipline in Data Engineering Org

· Mentor other members in the team and organization and contribute to organizations’ growth.

Technical Skills

· 8+ years’ work experience and bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science.

· Hands-on engineer who is curious about technology, should be able to quickly adopt to change and one who understands the technologies supporting areas such as Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure(preferred), etc.), Micro Services, Streaming Technologies, Network, Security, etc.

· 5 or more years of active development experience as a data developer using Python-spark, Spark Streaming, Azure SQL Server, Cosmos DB/Mongo DB, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Search, Azure Data factory and Azure synapse analytics, Git Integration with Azure DevOps, etc.

· Experience with designing & developing data management and data persistence solutions for application use cases leveraging relational, non-relational databases and enhancing our data processing capabilities

· Experience with building, testing and enhancing data curation pipelines and integrating data from a wide variety of sources like DBMS, File systems, APIs and streaming systems for various KPIs and metrics development with high data quality and integrity

· Experience with maintaining the health and monitoring of assigned data engineering capabilities that span analytic functions by triaging maintenance issues; ensuring high availability of the platform; monitoring workload demands; working with Infrastructure Engineering teams to maintain the data platform; serve as an SME of one or more application

· 3+ years of experience working with source code control systems and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools

What you need to have:

Job Description:  

As a L3 analyst, you will play a key role within the Application Management team, leading services for its customer(s). This service has responsibility for the smooth daily operational running of the Client platform both in the cloud and on-premises. The Client application is business critical and centrally manages data for trading, settlement, risk, client and regulatory reporting systems. As a L3 analyst, you will be responsible for supporting complex infrastructure and application issues raised by L1/L2 support teams, and business analysts. You would also be working on client requests for enhancements, fixes, maintaining custom code, and following the best practices such as Agile, DevOps, etc.

The role is a technical role requiring a good technical knowledge of SQL/PLSQ, Core Java along with good debugging skill while supporting client implementations. You should have basic understanding on Unix system and commands. The ability to troubleshoot issues, assist users and help write specifications is essential. This position also works with product management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.

• Accountability and primary responsibility/duties:
• A typical day would look like as follows: -
  • 40% support issues.
  • 40% configuration/development work.
  • 20% continuous improvement, automation, CICD, so on.
• Activities would range across the lifecycle from discovery to post-implementation support.
• Understanding client’s requirement, replicate the problem and providing the solution
• Understanding and developing new requirements coming in from BAs (Business Analysts) and customers.
• Update the existing functionality based on client needs.
• Develop changes that cater to enhancing the product and/or fixing production issues
• Prepare product releases of software components. (Java/SQL-PLSQL)
• Contribute in all phases of the development cycle. (development/Deployment/Testing, peer review)
• Create technical document for all changes made.

Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong basics and working experience in following technologies: -
  • Core Java.
  • SQL / PLSQL coding.
  • Object Oriented Programming concepts and data structures.
• Working knowledge on Unix platform
• Working knowledge on XSLT and XML handling
• Basic understanding App & web server working knowledge (JBOSS, WebLogic and WebSphere) and debugging skills.
• Advantageous to have:
  • Working understanding on CICD, Dev-ops technologies.
  • Queuing technologies including Kafka, MQ, Solace.
  • Scripting including Python, Unix, java.
• Hands on knowledge of Dev ops processes and tools Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  
  

• Create & Manage dashboards on various Mobile & web tools like Clevertap, Branch, Google Analytics, Zoho Page Sense, Firebase, and other data tools that marketing and product teams use on a daily basis.
• Create richer & holistic (collating multiple data sources/platforms) dashboards and reports on Tableau & Metabase for Product, Marketing & Business teams.
• Improve dashboards & set up alert systems on Sentry, Firebase, GA for product & technology teams to timely catch fatal crashes, errors.

Deliver data-backed insights & periodic analysis reports

• Perform deep data analysis to identify issues, trends, opportunities, and improvements possible in Acquisition, Activation, Transactions, Conversion Ratios & other driving product metrics. Present findings to product, marketing, and business stakeholders.
• Perform analysis to assess the success of ongoing product initiatives, provide insights to product managers & designers to iterate product features and flows.
• Create & Track product and marketing funnels to identify growth opportunities and problem areas. Collaborate with PMs and Designers to discover underlying reasons for drop points. Analyze Funnel, Cohort, Trends, LTV, DAU, MAU, Retention & user behavior using data & help teams make data-driven decisions.

Define measurement & success criteria for experiments, new features, and A/B tests.

• Collaborate with Product Manager to design, execute and analyze A/B tests, define target KPIs & control segments.
• Help Product Managers define success criteria and measurement standards for new features and product offerings.
• Ensure technical setup is there to MONITOR important KPIs and collect custom events data. Define custom events & properties to be tracked on Clevertap, GA, Zoho Page Sense.

Drive increased engagement & retention using Clevertap

• Define AARRR KPIs and Optimize them with CT multi-channel journeys by continuously performing A/B tests.
• Create detailed and diverse user segments to identify high, medium & low activity cohorts. Create strategies to increase the size of high-activity cohorts.
• Analyze website & mobile traffic, create user journeys & campaigns to enable cross-channel product experience and marketing.

Manage, Mentor & lead Product Analytics

• Act as an Analytics Subject Matter Expert in the team. Train, hire, and manage a team of analysts. Setup collaborative processes & management practices to help teams achieve important analytics goals.
• Assist the Product stakeholders to make data-driven decisions to achieve short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
• Collaborate & hire analysts to improve the overall product analysis capabilities.
• Research and be updated with upcoming technologies and trends in digital product analytics.
  
  

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any other related field.
• 4+ years of experience in mobile/web application analytics, business analytics, must have led or managed a team before.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge & hands-on experience of digital analytics software like Zoho Page Sense, Google Analytics, CleverTap, Branch, Firebase, Facebook Analytics.
• Expertise in dash-boarding tools like Tableau, Metabase, and Excel.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL development and tools
• Fetching and manipulating large data sets using SQL / Hive.
• Analyzing and visualizing large data sets: R / python.

Soft Skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.
• Team spirit, good time-management skills, strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, advanced problem-solving skills with customer-centric approach.

• In this role, you will Design, Develop and Deploy applications based on HTML, ReactJS, JS as front-end.
