Frontend Developer

• Responsible for requirements understanding, propose architecture, detailed design,
• development and timely deliverables with the highest quality standards.
• We are looking for Product creators who can work with minimum inputs from business and are able to deliver products quickly and with quality.
• This person should have worked in Enterprise class product from scratch.
• Start-up experience would be highly desirable.
• Tech Stack: React.js, HTML, CSS, AWS, MySQL, Razor Pay, Google Analytics, SEO, Dev Ops, CI/CD Pipeline

• Can architect UI systems and has a well-honed understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different frameworks.
• Cherishes the craft of an experience getting to perfect pixels, creating animations with just the right springs, investing in loading performance.
• Is familiar with React, Node. JS, NoSQL databases like Firebase, and AWS.
• Collaborates actively with designers, product managers, product scientists, and other engineers.

What your role would be?

We are seeking a Front End Developer to join our core engineering team. Teams are explicitly small and built on mutual respect and high trust. It's not a fit for everyone, but when there's a fit, it’s one of the most rewarding places to work.

Job Requirements:

You’ll thrive as a Front End Developer at StoryXpress if you:

• Have a good understanding of the core fundamentals of JavaScript
• Have 2+ years designing and implementing rich front-end experiences in React
• Are an expert in web technologies ( HTML5 | CSS3 | ES6 )
• Possess a thorough understanding of the MVC principle and JS design patterns
• Have experience with building user interfaces consuming data from REST APIs

• Are a self-starter: you have started something on your own before - a startup, an open-source project, something else.
• Experienced in building and/or maintaining chrome extensions
• Indulged in projects around Data Visualization
• UX design principles and frameworks
• Are acquainted with testing frameworks and performance measurement tools

We are looking for individuals with a love for frontend, and building products with a great user experience. The ideal candidate is someone who has a collaborative process and is comfortable with ambiguity. You will be the earliest members of the product engineering team, and will have an opportunity to define the culture. If you enjoy the zero-to-one process, this is for you.

What you’ll do

• Be part of a team building a web and mobile web app from grounds up
• Drive frontend development for our product.
• Work fast, carefully evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision
• Collaborate with design and product on user experience and interface
• Build responsive & re-usable UI components using ReactJS
• Maintain code and write unit tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong proficiency in developing with Javascript/ReactJS/AngualrJS
• Strong command of HTML5 and CSS
• Comfortable collaborating with designers and translating designs into high-quality code
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Familiarity with Git for version control
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written

Minimum Qualifications

A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields or relevant experience to demonstrate your abilities and aptitude

2+ years of experience in developing consumer or SaaS web apps or websites

Good to Have

Experience in building real-time frontend and backend data sync applications

Demonstrated an interest for UX and UI

Experience with: AWS, Shopify
