About TorqWars
TorqWars is building India's competitive RC racing. We are a sports-entertainment business running on three engines: experience-led arenas with timed racing, a league, and a D2C store for RC cars and parts. Our first arena opens soon in Bandra, Mumbai, and we are backed by The Foundery. Our mission is to make battling with machines a real sport. You will work directly with the founders and own how your function is built from the ground up.
Role overview
You will work across the business with the founders, taking on the most important problem of the month and solving it end to end: opening the arena on time, fixing a supply issue, setting up a new sales channel, or building a process that does not exist yet. You will move between strategy and on-ground execution in the same day.
Key responsibilities
- Own founder-priority projects end to end, from framing the problem to a shipped result.
- Step in where the business is stuck: operations, supply chain and vendors, D2C, partnerships, finance or hiring.
- Build the operating rhythm: trackers, dashboards, weekly reviews and decision notes.
- Run quick analyses and models to support decisions: unit economics, pricing and scenarios.
- Set up new processes and hand them over to a function owner once they work.
- Represent the founders with vendors, partners and investors when needed.
KPIs
Projects shipped on time, problems closed rather than just analysed, and how quickly what you set up runs without you.
Requirements
- Experience in a startup, consulting, investment or founder's office role, or as a founder. Senior candidates are welcome, and so are candidates with 3–5 years who have grown fast.
- A track record of solving messy, cross-functional problems end to end.
- Strong with numbers: spreadsheet models, unit economics and quick estimates.
- Clear written and spoken communication, including one-page decision notes.
- Comfortable switching between strategy and on-ground execution.
Good to have
Ex-founder. Consumer, retail, D2C, gaming or hardware experience. Uses AI tools to work faster.
How we assess
A quick AI voice interview with your camera on and your screen shared (about 20 minutes, five main questions): a messy problem you personally solved (the numbers, the decisions, who did what and what went wrong), a live TorqWars problem with real constraints to think through out loud, and what your last manager would say about you. We do not expect you to know RC cars; we will teach you the sport. We hire for intelligence, energy and integrity. Specific, honest and structured answers score well; generic or rehearsed answers do not. We look at what you have done in the last 2–3 years, and we speak to references before any offer.
Your first 90 days
Two founder-priority projects shipped end to end, a weekly operating review and company dashboard running, and at least one new process handed to an owner who runs it without you.
What we offer
Direct work with the founders across every function, exposure to building a company and a new sport from the early stage, and a path to lead a function. A two-year mission across the business, ending with a function of your own to lead.
Location
Work from office, Mumbai: our Worli office and the Bandra arena, plus vendor and partner sites when needed.
Hiring process
A short AI interview, a call with a founder, a 48-hour assignment on a real problem from our business for shortlisted candidates, a working session in Mumbai with reference checks, a final conversation with our co-founder, and an offer within 2 weeks of the first call.
When you apply, share
- One messy problem you solved end to end: what was broken, what you did, and the result in numbers.
- Current and expected CTC, and notice period.

We are looking for someone who:
- Doesn't wait to be told every small step
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Can take responsibility for tasks and follow them through
- Is good at finding solutions rather than only identifying problems
- Can communicate clearly and professionally
- Wants to understand how a business is actually built and scaled
How you will work
You own the execution on your brands. Nobody will chase you for status, and nobody will hand you a process for a situation you have not seen before. You build it, write it down, and the next brand goes live faster because of it.
Expect the first few fortnights to be manual. Trackers maintained by hand, follow-ups by phone, reports rebuilt every week. What we want you doing alongside that is noticing which of it should never be manual again: the same status update, the same device reconciliation, the same weekly report.
You will be encouraged to automate those yourself with the AI and workflow tools available to you, rather than waiting on an engineering sprint. You will not be doing this alone. Sales, Product, Engineering, AI and Logistics teams sit around you and will build what you ask for. What nobody will do is tell you what to ask for.
What you will do
- Run brand and store onboarding. Work with the client's point of contact to collect store, employee and device details. Plan the go-live, run the store training, track timelines, and keep the implementation tracker honest.
- Own devices and logistics. Allocation, mapping, dispatch, delivery, replacement and recovery. Keep accurate records of active, faulty, spare and returned devices, and stay on top of couriers and vendors until things actually arrive.
- Watch the daily operations.- Monitor recordings and data uploads, track store and salesperson activity, and spot the gap before the client does. Handle escalations, and follow up internally until the issue is actually closed rather than acknowledged.
- Report accurately. -Daily and weekly operational reports on adherence, recordings, store activity and device health. This is heavy Excel and Sheets work: pivot tables, lookups, QUERY, FILTER. The numbers have to be right, because people make decisions on them.
- Coordinate with clients. -Be the operational contact for the brand's teams. Share updates, understand what they are asking for, and make sure every commitment you make is one that gets delivered.
- Coordinate the team.- Allocate tasks across the operations and implementation team, track completion, run regular reviews, and help new joiners get up to speed on how things are done.
- Improve and automate the process. -Write the SOPs and checklists, kill the repetitive manual work, and make each implementation cleaner than the last.
What we are looking for
- Must have 3 to 5 years in operations, implementation, project coordination or customer success operations
- A logistics or e-commerce background is the closest match to what this job actually asks for, and is what we would prefer
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets. Formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, QUERY and FILTER should be things you use, not things you have heard of
- Relentless follow-up. Most of this job is making sure something that was promised actually happened
- Good communication and the confidence to handle a client escalation without needing somebody senior on the call
- Fluent English and Hindi. A third Indian language counts for a lot, since you will be talking to store teams and not only to HQ
- Ownership. You should be the person others stop following up with, because you have already closed it
Good to have
- Basic SQL, or experience writing report requirements for a technical team
- Used LLMs for daily tasks, both professional and personal
- Exposure to SaaS, AI or a startup environment, and to hardware deployed in the field
- Experience coordinating a small team, or running several clients and projects at once

Strategy & Operations Generalist (Visuals & Documentation)
About the Role:
We are looking for a high-IQ, high-output Strategy & Operations Generalist to join our team as a "Force Multiplier." This isn't a role for someone who wants to stay in a narrow lane; it’s for a smart thinker who thrives on variety, speed, and excellence.
Your primary mission is to translate complex ideas, raw data, and messy brainstorms into world-class visual narratives (PowerPoint) and airtight documentation. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our strategy is communicated clearly and our operations are documented flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Storytelling: Design high-stakes PowerPoint presentations for board meetings, client pitches, and internal strategy sessions. You don't just "make slides"; you build the narrative arc.
Technical & Process Documentation: Draft clear, concise, and professional documentation, including SOPs, project reports, white papers, and research summaries.
Information Synthesis: Take hours of voice notes, scattered data points, or 20-page research papers and distill them into 1-page executive summaries or 5-slide decks.
Strategic Support: Act as a "Chief of Staff" style resource for various departments, jumping in to solve problems, organize workflows, and move projects across the finish line.
Quality Gatekeeping: Ensure every external-facing document or deck meets the highest standards of logic, grammar, and design.
Who You Are (The "Horsepower" Profile)
Intellectual Curiosity: You are a fast learner who can wrap your head around a new industry or technical concept in hours, not days.
Design-Forward Mindset: You have a "Power User" command of PowerPoint or Keynote. You understand whitespace, hierarchy, and how to use data visualization to tell a story.
Exceptional Writing: Your prose is lean, logical, and persuasive. You can write for a CEO or a developer with equal ease.
Relentless Execution: You have the "horsepower" to handle high-pressure deadlines without losing attention to detail.
Autonomous Problem-Solver: You don't wait for a manual; you build the manual. You are comfortable with ambiguity and "figuring it out."
Requirements:
Experience: 2–5 years in management consulting, startup operations, executive support, or a research-heavy role.
Tech Stack: Mastery of PowerPoint/Google Slides and Notion/Google Docs. Familiarity with AI tools (LLMs) for research and drafting is a major plus.
Portfolio: Ability to demonstrate previous work (decks or writing samples) that showcases your ability to simplify complexity.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, International Relations, or a related field (or equivalent "real world" experience).

You'll work directly with the founder, gain exposure to how an early-stage technology business operates, and have opportunities to take on greater responsibility as the company grows.
Submit your CV along with a short response (maximum 150 words) to the following question:
A client keeps asking a software development company for small additional features during a project. What problems might this create for the company's founder, and how would you initiate a conversation with that founder about the issue?
We're interested in how you think, communicate, and approach real business problems, not just your qualifications.
