Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Python and its modern web frameworks.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, designing robust APIs, and ensuring optimal performance and security of backend systems.

Mandatory Skills : Python, Django, Flask, Streamlit, Starlette, REST API development, scalable backend services.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems using Python.
• Work with frameworks such as Django, Flask, Streamlit, Starlette.
• Develop scalable and high-performance backend services.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams to deliver seamless integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews.

Required Skills :

• Minimum 5 years of backend development experience in Python.
• Strong expertise in Django, Flask, Streamlit, and/or Starlette.
• Proven experience with API design and development.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, data modeling, and scalability best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud environments is a plus.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with async programming (e.g., using FastAPI, Starlette).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/noSQL databases.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

·        Understand requirements and translate them to product features.

·        Participate in Scrum meetings and express the work done and the plan clearly. Participate in scrum ceremonies and clearly communicate.

• Develop applications using Front end, middleware, and database-related technologies.
• Should be hands-on in developing and implementing best practices and writing smart pieces of code.
• Coding standards should be followed, and the code should be highly performant.
• Should be able to write unit test cases using any of the frameworks and should be completely automated.
• Should have strong exposure to REST API design and principles and adhere to RAML/Swagger or Open API specification
• Should be able to do impact analysis and document the design of the components.
• Should be able to develop reusable components using proper design patterns as listed by lead/architect so that it is extensible.

Essential Skills

·        4+ years of in-depth knowledge in Core Java, Spring DI, Spring MVC, REST, JMS, Hibernate, JDBC, PL/SQL

·        1+ years of experience in Spring boot, Angular 8 or above

·        2+ years of experience in RESTful HTTP services design

·        2+ years of experience in Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS3

·        2+ years of experience with SQL Server, Postgre SQL writing stored procedures, performance tuning, and identifying deadlocks, transactions, and data locking/blocking scenarios

·        Working knowledge of Webpack, CLI, and Agile Scrum framework

·        Good communication and unit testing knowledge.

·        Good to have knowledge in one of the cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/PCF

·        Work experience in frameworks like JPA, Spring Core, Spring AOP, and Spring Data

·        Familiar with Continuous Integration methodologies and tools, including Jenkins

·        Good to have: Exposure to Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment

·        MCA/equivalent master’s in computers is a must.

Roles & Responsibilities :

·        To lead team from front to all the software developers including Interns at b+m India office

·        To upgrade and guide to the entire software developers team with technical solutions and updated technologies from time to time .

·        Participate in the complete lifecycle of projects from inception to deployment to value delivery.

·        Developing best practices to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope of work.

·        Create a project Management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective. Developing and monitoring project plans, project schedules, working hours and ensuring project deadlines are met.

·        Escalate all obstacles that cannot be dealt with promptly that could result in project delays.

·        Communicate project status and key issues to stakeholders on a regular basis.

·        Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects (if needed).

·        Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

·        Delegate project tasks based on requirement to the team members' ,  individual strengths, skill sets, and as per their experience levels.

·        Attend seminars and training as required improve & maintain proficiency (if needed).

·        Perform other software development related duties like,

     Software development in C# with MS Visual Studio, Developing and designing GUIs in WPF.

     Source code development for libraries (.dll), e.g. for data exchange

     Creating standard interfaces via web service and OPC UA

    Connecting MS SQL database systems for secure data transfer.

Requirements

Must have 1.5 years of experience in front end development in an internet startup

Deep knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience

Proficiency with javascript and html5

Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performance visual effects and keeping the frame rate above 30 fps at all times

Thorough understanding of the responsibility of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies and other web services used in the system

As our Software Engineer - Frontend you’ll be designing and producing excellent web interfaces, working closely with the server and analytics teams. 

Your Team Mates

The frontend team consists of both our frontend developers and designers, we work closely with all parts of the business to create tools that vary across the whole company, from the publishing team to create a portal for people to submit games, the marketing team on things like our website, all the way to our internal teams for things like administration and analytics.

What Does The Job Actually Involve?

• You'll be working directly with the server and client teams to create our games server admin interfaces. And closely with the analytics team developing features for our analytics platform.
• A portion of the work involves maintaining/improving our extensive games server admin interface and our in-house Analytics platform.
• You will be working with a lot of different technologies that make up our worldwide cluster where we support millions of daily players.
• On some projects specific gameplay features rely on server side counterparts and complex web UI interfaces making for a good change of pace from Analytics and Data entry interfaces.

Your Hard Skills

• Minimum 2 years browser-based programming experience
• A proven track record of programming high quality and innovative web pages using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3 and relevant frameworks (ideally ReactJS but could also be others e.g. AngularJS, NodeJS, Handlebars, jquery, gulp)
• An excellent working knowledge of various programming languages, databases and scripting tools including at least one of bash, MySQL, CouchBase, Python, Java, C#, JSP, PHP
