You will work with spatiel imagery data to build maps based solutions for farmers and businesses
We believe in a small and effective team - you will have a say in what to build and then own it
You will lead a team of both Android, web and back end developers
We are paranoid about performance - you will investigate performance scalability bottlenecks and existing queries and / or write new queries with performance optimisation in mind
Identify libraries and technologies that solve our problems and / or worth experimentation

Requirements

Have 10-15 years of experience in web development including managing a team
Come up with your own and team's goals and dont need heavy direction or check-ins
Have experience in setting up the,  full dev workflow - right from Dev, test, build to deployment
Have command over one language, preferably python, else java / JS/ Ruby - including debugging and performance analysis
Have clear understanding of databases - Relational and non relational - their data models and performance trade offs; experience designing database and querying to optimize performance
Have experience in developing webapps with atleast one framework (Django, flask, ROR) etc
Have handson experience with caching techniques and utilities like memcache / Redis
Have experience in implementing and deploying distributed systemes on AWS / GCP et c
Have clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
Showcase your work available in opensource, online courses etc

• The entire development lifecycle of all our consumer applications
• Working closely with the Product, QA, UX & Engineering teams on strategy, solutioning and execution.
• Managing everyday activities of the consumer engineering team
• Working closely with the core platform engineering teams to design seamless integration
• Owning management and execution of features and ensure delivery timelines
• Building & mentoring the consumer engineering team
• Working with the overall leadership team in creating and driving the company vision and it’s goals

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing complex, interactive consumer applications
• Working with / managing both mobile and web applications
• Ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build applications for the iOS and Android platforms

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field and Tier 1 college
• Overall 6-10 yrs exp with Min 4 years relevant in iOS, Android, Swift, Kotlin and Objective C
• Strong understanding of Hybrid mobile skills such as Ionic, Cordova, PWAs, Flutter, ReactJS and React Native , Cordova or Capacitor
• Good understanding on native mobile skills include iOS, Android, Swift, Kotlin and Objective C.
• Good to have knowledge JS frameworks such as Angular
• Good hands-on experience on various design and architecture aspects - MVP, MVVM etc.
• Good knowledge of writing unit tests for mobile
• Strong knowledge of mobile app performance, using various tools and Android Studio IDE
• Strong background in Agile and working closely with product management
• Should be able to conduct scrum meetings and ensure team is not blocked
• Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team
• Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track
• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment

Engineering Manager 

Requirements:

Education - B.Tech/MCA or equivalent.

Overall 10 to 12 years of experience.

Agnostic/Polyglot with multiple tech stacks.

Worked on open source technologies – NodeJS, ReactJS, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Columnar DBs

Good experience with Front-end technologies like JavaScript frameworks, React, AngularJS.

Backend exposure – good knowledge of building API using Node or Lambda or python.

Good understanding of ELK, Kafka, Redis and CDN.

Worked on serverless technologies and good understanding of CMS.

Efficient in building microservices in combining server & front-end.

Good understanding of AWS and its technologies.

Should be innovative and communicative in approach and should be hands on coding guru

Will be responsible for the functional/technical track of a product.

Experience with Scaling SAAS products and ability to design from scratch.

Ability to manage a small team of 5 -10 Developers/QA Engineers and guide them on the design and coding best practices

The engineering manager will:
1. Lead a growing team of engineers, responsible for overall technical direction of the team

What we need?
1. 3-5 years hands-on coding experience in mobile application development with Android SDK, Swift or Flutter SDK and Firebase, Google Cloud Platform or AWS backend
2. 1-2 years experience in leading a team of software development and QA engineers
3. A keen interest in new technologies and best practices
4. Experience in managing development tasks/timelines for a team (e.g. by holding daily scrums)
5. Ability to create fault resistant development frameworks for engineers
6. Experience in seamless deployment of apps to Play Store and App Store and knowledge of respective developer guidelines
7. Experience with performance testing & tuning, scaling and optimization of high-load applications
8. Experience in scaling through non-relational distributed databases

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a growing team of Engineers to help them build and maintain our products, effectively work on the right things at the right time and help them grow as better engineers along the way. A solid engineering as well as a management background is a must and you should have prior experience running an engineering team.
