About the role You work under the Senior Editor. Your job is to find the story before everyone else does, write copy that lands in 60 seconds, and source the visuals that make it hit.
This is not a writing job. It's a news job. The output just happens to be video.
What you'll do
- Monitor news across beats: politics, finance, tech, sports, and culture
- Write sharp video scripts and copy that work for short-form format
- Source relevant video takes, clips, and visuals for each story
- Pitch stories daily to the Senior Editor with a clear angle
- Turn around content fast without compromising accuracy
- Stay on top of what's breaking and flag it before it's everywhere
What we're looking for
- Background in journalism, mass media, or communications
- Understands what makes a story worth telling and what doesn't
- Can write a script that a Gen Z audience actually watches till the end
- Knows how to source video and visuals, not just text references
- Fast, accurate, and doesn't need to be told what's newsworthy
