Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that supports our applications and services. You will work closely with our development, QA, and data science teams to ensure smooth deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery of our products. Your role will be critical in automating processes, enhancing system performance, and maintaining high availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Manage server environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development:
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure quick and reliable releases.
• Configuration Management and Automation:
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Automate system configurations and deployments to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Monitoring and Logging:
• Set up and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to track system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement logging solutions to ensure effective incident response and system analysis.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with development and QA teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide support for infrastructure-related inquiries and incidents.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with database administration (SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum or Kanban environment.

5 to 10 years of software development & coding experience

Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Automation, CICD) AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy are a must have. 

Experience troubleshooting AWS policy or permissions related errors during resource deployments \

Programming experience; preferred Python, PowerShell, bash development experience \

Have Experience with application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, Concourse, and Git supporting continuous integration / continuous deployment capabilities (CI/CD) à GitHub and GitHub actions for deployments are must-have skills (Maven, Jenkins, etc. are nice to have)

Have configuration management experience (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible)

Worked in a Development Shop or have SDLC hands on Experience

Familiar with how to write software, test plans, automate and release using modern development methods

AWS certified at an appropriate level

What we look for:

As a DevOps Developer, you will contribute to a thriving and growing AIGovernance Engineering team. You will work in a Kubernetes-based microservices environment to support our bleeding-edge cloud services. This will include custom solutions, as well as open source DevOps tools (build and deploy automation, monitoring and data gathering for our software delivery pipeline). You will also be contributing to our continuous improvement and continuous delivery while increasing maturity of DevOps and agile adoption practices.

Job Responsibilities:

Work & Deploy updates and fixes Provide Level 2 technical support Support implementation of fully automated CI/CD pipelines as per dev requirement Follow the escalation process through issue completion, including providing documentation after resolution Follow regular Operations procedures and complete all assigned tasks during the shift. Assist in root cause analysis of production issues and help write a report which includes details about the failure, the relevant log entries, and likely root cause Setup of CICD frameworks (Jenkins / Azure DevOps Server), Containerization using Docker, etc Implement continuous testing, Code Quality, Security using DevOps tooling Build a knowledge base by creating and updating documentation for support

SREs are a blend of pragmatic operators and software craftspeople who apply sound software engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our environments and our codebase. Our decisions are based on instrumentation and continuous observability, as well as predictions and capacity planning.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

Troubleshooting and Supporting Escalations:

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations across infrastructure, databases, web, and mobile applications
• Implement strategies to increase system reliability and performance through on-call rotation and process optimization
• Perform and run blameless RCAs on incidents and outages aggressively, looking for answers that will prevent the incident from ever happening again

Do you have the right ingredients? (Requirements)

• Extensive industry experience with at least 7+ years in SRE and/or DevOps roles
• Polyglot technologist/generalist with a thirst for learning
• Deep understanding of cloud and microservice architecture and the JVM
• Experience with tools such as APM, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience developing software or software projects in at least four languages, ideally including two of Go, Python, and Java
• Experience with cloud computing technologies ( AWS cloud provider preferred)

Job Description:

Mandatory Skills:

Should have strong working experience with Cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.

Should have strong working experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Rundeck.

 Write build pipelines and IaaC (ARM templates, terraform or cloud formation).

 Develop ansible playbooks to install and configure various products.

 Implement Jenkins and Rundeck jobs( and pipelines).

 Must be a self-starter and be able to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment

 Work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision.

 Strong desire to learn new technologies and techniques

Qualification:

4+ years of experience in DevOps and AWS.

2+ years of experience in Python, Shell scripting and Azure.
