Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior SQL Developer with 10+ years of experience in SQL Server and T-SQL development, preferably with experience in the Mutual Fund / Capital Markets / Financial Services domain.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
• Perform query tuning, indexing, execution plan analysis, and performance optimization.
• Handle data migration, transformation, porting, validation, and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot database and production/UAT issues.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and security.
• Work with developers, BAs, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Independently own database development and optimization activities.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

What You Will Do

·      Design and build complex T-SQL stored procedures involving Dynamic SQL, along with views, functions, and triggers

·      Implement flexible, metadata-driven query frameworks using sp_executesql and parameterized Dynamic SQL

·      Engineer high-performance, set-based queries using CTEs, window functions, temp tables and table variables

·      Optimize queries using execution plans, statistics and DMVs

·      Refactor inefficient queries and redesign schemas for performance and scalability

·      Solve real-world challenges related to locks, blocking, deadlocks and transaction isolation

·      Collaborate with application engineers to build reliable, high-performance data access layers

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for true SQL engineers — people who think in execution flow, logic and data behavior rather than just syntax.

You should have:

·      4+ years of deep hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL

·      Strong expertise in:

o  Stored Procedures (with Dynamic SQL)

o  Triggers

·      Strong experience with:

o  Dynamic SQL best practices and secure execution patterns

o  Indexing strategies and query plan optimization

o  Handling parameter sniffing and plan instability

·      Strong knowledge of:

o  Temp tables vs table variables

o  Cardinality estimation

o  Cost-based optimization concepts

Strong Senior Developer – PL/SQL, SQL & ETL (Microsoft SSIS) Profile

Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have minimum 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL and SQL development, including complex stored procedures, functions, queries, joins, data manipulation, and query/performance optimization.

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have strong hands-on experience in ETL development using Microsoft SSIS, including building, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting SSIS packages for large-volume data movement and transformation.

Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have solid experience working with Data Warehousing concepts and architectures, including data models, fact/dimension structures, ETL data flows, and enterprise reporting/data warehouse environments.

Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have experience managing batch jobs, scheduling, and data pipelines, ensuring timely and reliable execution of enterprise ETL workflows.

Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have hands-on experience in production support for SSIS/ETL and data warehouse jobs, including monitoring job execution, troubleshooting failures, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventive fixes.

Mandatory (Experience 6) – Must have experience with data quality, validation, and troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving data discrepancies/issues affecting downstream reports, dashboards, and analytics.

Mandatory (Experience 7) – Must have experience with unit, integration, and regression testing of SQL, PL/SQL, and ETL components, along with strong documentation of technical designs, data mappings, data flows, and deployment processes.
