Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with Big Data technologies, distributed systems, and ETL pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to ensure efficient data flow and reliable data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various data sources.
• Enhance internal processes by automating tasks, optimizing data workflows, and improving infrastructure performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Business teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
• Work closely with machine learning and analytics teams to support advanced data modeling and innovation.
• Ensure systems are highly reliable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with Apache Spark, with solid understanding of distributed data processing.
• Proficiency in Scala and PySpark is mandatory.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and non-relational data.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Databricks).
• Good understanding of Delta Lake architecture, Parquet, JSON, CSV, and related data file formats.
• Comfortable working in Linux/macOS environments with scripting capabilities.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and deliver independently.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts is an added advantage.

Responsibilities: 

● Communicate with clients to get a clear view on their hiring needs and

organisational goals.

● Research into clients' companies. 

● Research into competitors and market place. 

● Define job description and document specifications and guide the team to deliver

the potential candidates. 

● Identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels. 

● Create a candidate persona for each open position. 

● Conduct confidential interviews and coordinations with the required panels. 

● Follow-up references and check credits. 

● Present shortlisted candidates. 

● Present detailed candidate profile summaries. 

● Build long-term client relationships. 

● Research and develop recruiting leads.

● Develop a sustainable candidate lead strategy. 

● Advise clients on best recruiting practices. 

Qualifications: 

● 5+ years of experience in recruiting and relevant years of experience in the

handling Team. 

● Excellent understanding of recruitment processes. 

● Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS). 

● Understanding of Recruitment Marketing software is a plus. 

● Good knowledge of candidates selection methods. 

● Good understanding of Employer Branding strategies. 

● Experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods. 

● Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

• Communicate with external clients on a regular basis regarding progress, challenges, timelines and results of client projects
• Gather technical requirements as needed
• Create and update, design and functional documents
• Identify and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Perform a new development as required
• Implement project applications according to specifications
• Research technical issues and provide recommendations to enhance client websites
• Work both independently and as part of a team to create reliable and high-performing Web Applications
• Unit test code to ensure quality

SurveySensum is becoming a great tool to not only capture the feedbacks but also to extract some useful insights with the quick workflow setups and dashboards. We have more than 7 channels through which we can collect the feedbacks. This makes us challenge the conventional software development design principles. The team likes to grind and helps each other to lift in tough situations. 

Day to day responsibilities include:

1. Work on the deployment of code via Bitbucket, AWS CodeDeploy and manual
2. Work on Linux/Unix OS and Multi tech application patching
3. Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers.
4. Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
5. Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
6. Easing developers’ life so that they can focus on the business logic rather than deploying and maintaining it. 
7. Managing release of the sprint. 
8. Educating team of the best practices.
9. Finding ways to avoid human error and save time by automating the processes using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bitbucket pipelines, CodeDeploy, scripting
10. Implementing cost effective measure on cloud and minimizing existing costs.
