Job Description

Managing a portfolio of SME clients, monitoring their insurance needs, and

proactively engaging with them to ensure client satisfaction and retention. 

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with SME clients, understanding

their business needs, and providing personalized service. 

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the SME sector to grow

the insurance company's client base and revenue. 

Ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery to SME clients, addressing their

queries and concerns promptly.

Role : Sr Data Scientist / Tech Lead – Data Science

Number of positions : 8

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers and big data specialists
• Be the main point of contact for the customers
• Lead data mining and collection procedures
• Ensure data quality and integrity
• Interpret and analyze data problems

Requirements (please read carefully)

• Very strong in statistics fundamentals. Not all data is Big Data. The candidate should be able to derive statistical insights from very few data points if required, using traditional statistical methods.
• Msc-Statistics/ Phd.Statistics
• Education – no bar, but preferably from a Statistics academic background (eg MSc-Stats, MSc-Econometrics etc), given the first point
• Strong expertise in Python (any other statistical languages/tools like R, SAS, SPSS etc are just optional, but Python is absolutely essential). If the person is very strong in Python, but has almost nil knowledge in the other statistical tools, he/she will still be considered a good candidate for this role.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, for about 7-8 years
• Solid understanding of machine learning and AI concepts, especially wrt choice of apt candidate algorithms for a use case, and model evaluation.
• Good expertise in writing SQL queries (should not be dependent upon anyone else for pulling in data, joining them, data wrangling etc)
• Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques --- more from a Data Science perspective.
• Should be able to grasp business problems, ask the right questions to better understand the problem breadthwise /depthwise, design apt solutions, and explain that to the business stakeholders.
• Again, the last point above is extremely important --- should be able to identify solutions that can be explained to stakeholders, and furthermore, be able to present them in simple, direct language.

Job Purpose

We work in the latest technology, and our foundations are data structures, algorithms, solid logical reasoning, and mathematics. We are looking for very strong engineers who love coding, optimizing, and ensuring their code is the most efficient.

You will be involved with hardcore development. If you are an assembler of code or packages from different places to build something, you may not find our team to be the right fit.

You must be someone who can build anything from the ground up. Programming language should not be any barrier for you, as you should be able to pick up any programming language or underlying technology within a week.

Job Description:

We are creating a full-stack technology team and looking for an Engineering Lead to head the tech platform development and the tech team. Working together with the co-founders, you will decide the revised tech stack, talent to be hired, and best practices to be put in place.

We are building a solution that deploys elements of tokenization using blockchain, ML driven portfolio selection and risk management, and a proprietary alternate secondary market for illiquid securities.

Key requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in a Head of Engineering/Lead Engineer role with a startup. Overall, between 5-10 number of years of tech experience.

• Strong fundamental knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns and network protocols.
• Ability to define and deploy the right tech stack for a fintech organization
• Blockchain implementation experience preferred
• Experience with actual product launch and adoption
