Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Python Backend Developer to join our growing team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development with Python, deep expertise in relational databases like MySQL, and hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python.
• Architect and optimize relational databases (MySQL), including complex queries and indexing.
• Manage and deploy applications on AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Automate cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
• Proactively identify issues and provide solutions to challenging backend problems.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Expert-level knowledge in MySQL database creation, optimization, and query writing.
• Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Pega Decisioning solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop decisioning strategies that drive business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain Pega Decisioning architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring adherence to Pega best practices and standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders to communicate solution designs, plans, and progress, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Pega Decisioning, with a strong background in designing and implementing Pega Decisioning solutions.
• Pega Lead Decision Architect (LDA) certification required.
• Proven experience in leading complex Pega projects, with a strong understanding of Pega architecture and decisioning capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with Pega's Next-Generation Decisioning capabilities.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of data science and analytics concepts, with experience in integrating Pega Decisioning with external data sources.
• Certification in related Pega products (e.g., Pega Platform, Pega Customer Decision Hub).

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using Angular.

• Extensive experience in Angular
• Extensive experience in Typescript
• Strong of NodeJS
• Strong of multiple front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and their libraries
• Extensive experience of consuming REST API
• Designing, coding, testing, and deploying the application.
• Debugging issues in the application code to ensure it is working correctly.
• Communicating with other team members on any pending tasks or changes in the project.  
• Experience of writing unit tests.
• Experience of implementation on cloud.
• Use of tools such as JIRA, Git, GitHub.
• Ability to write cross-browser compatible code
• Good Communication skills.

Good to have:

• Exposure on SPA Front End App
• Exposure on Rxjs, Ngrx/store, Nx monorepo, Deck.gl
• Exposure on Turf.js (GIS), cypress

• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Experience with Serverless.

You should have deep empathy for the users to minimize the gap between what we build and what they need. Have sound judgement to balance between code writing speed and it's maintainability.
