About the Role:

A key part of this role is to reach all relevant security and DevOps engineers and make them aware of StepSecurity and our value prop. Creating in depth tutorials on using the product (which can be fairly technical) and writing blogs about different aspects of CI/CD security will be few of the key things you will be working on. We believe creating content which people care about is fundamentally about telling good stories. Stories of what we stand for as a company, where StepSecurity stands as a product, how users can benefit from it, how we build the product. Everything is a story waiting to be told. 

What Will You Be Doing?

• Create blog articles and tutorials about different features of the product and how users can utilize them.
• Develop SEO-optimized content to capture traffic from Google.
• Maintain StepSecurity technical documentation: StepSecurity Docs.
• Update READMEs for StepSecurity’s open-source repositories.
• Create video tutorials or documentation on common issues faced by users.
• Identify gaps in our current content and create material to address them.

Possible Content Types

• Blog posts
• Technical documentation
• Case studies on how our current users are utilizing StepSecurity
• Tutorials to explain how users can achieve specific use cases

Who Would Be a Good Fit?

• 2+ years of experience as a software developer, with an interest in explaining deep technical concepts in simple language.
• Prior experience as a technical writer.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, security, and DevOps is required.
• Interest in developing a career in technical marketing, developer advocacy, or product management.
• A flair for writing and a growth mindset.

About the Interview

Our process involves a short initial exploratory chat, followed by 2 to 3 interviews/discussions. The aim is for both sides to learn more about each other. The process includes:

• A written assignment where you will be asked to write a tutorial on a technical topic.
• A discussion over a call with the founders.

• Developing and maintaining dynamic websites and web applications
• Ensure the foolproof performance of the deliverable
• Coordinate with co-developers and other related departments.
• Experience own and work on end to end on an application.
• Set Milestones and deadlines.
• Fine-tuning and resolving performance issues
• Mentor colleagues and code walk-through
• Must have Skills:
• PHP, OOP, Codeigniter, Jquery, MySQL

Areas of Impact for you

• Finalizing concept along with product managers and stakeholders to understand product requirement
• Creating personas through user research and data
• Developing wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
• Finding creative ways to solve UX problems
• Working with other designers to implement attractive designs and maintaining design systems
• Communicating design ideas and prototypes to developer
• Conducting usability testing and gathering user feedback
• Work in collaboration with the product, design and tech teams for effective delivery of the designs
• Account for and track the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design
• Assist in brainstorming activities for upcoming projects

Desirable Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of relevant UX experience in technology driven companies
• Being a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers
• Capability to create, improve, and use information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, user flows, to effectively communicate your interaction ideas.
• Ability to present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (cognitive loads, information flow, etc.)
• Continually keep yourself and team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.
• Being diligent, organized, well prepared, with an attention to detail
• Good control over language and display effective communication skill
• Experience in designing interfaces for mobile and web
• Portfolio displaying the required skills
• Understanding of tech (front-end and APIs) desirable

• Preferably 5+ years of experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP) development stack
• Proven software development experience in PHP and of developing REST (JSON) / SOAP (XML) based web services

• Experience with HTML5 / JavaScript (JQuery) / CSS / AJAX / Angular / Yii Framework is preferred
• Experience in caching solutions like Redis and Memcached
• Experience in tools like Ansible, Docker
• Knowledge of source control systems such as GIT is a plus

• Be able to work in cross-function teams
• Write high-quality code per industry standards and best practices
• Test the code for quality assurance, debug identified bugs and resolve issues
• Support in deploying and maintenance of product and services
• Documenting product services progress, status, and manuals
• Participate in team meetings and planning & review sessions

Must Have:

1. Strong proficiency with .Net Core API development
2. Experience with caching approaches for API
3. Hands on with SQL Server and its variation among popular databases
4. Well versed with stored procedures, query plans, altering the indexes, and troubleshooting the performance holdups
5. Skilled at performance optimization of .NET APIs
6. Experience & Knowledge on Open API specification & swagger documentation
7. Experience in building Cloud Native Applications
8. Experience in Microservices architecture
9. Has worked on the deployment of applications using Docker
10. Has Knowledge of Kubernetes
11. Has Experience with Cache systems like Redis.

Nice to Have:

1. Familiar with .NET design patterns
2. Performance tuning of SQL Stored Procedures
