Mandatory Skills :

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines for product-based platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm Charts, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Deploy and manage microservices on Kubernetes clusters.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable DevOps architecture.
• Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

Good to Have :

• Packer, OpenShift/Rancher/K3s, On-prem deployments, PaaS experience, scripting (Bash/Python), Terraform modules.

Looking for an experienced candidate with strong development and programming experience, knowledge preferred-

• Cloud computing (i.e. Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Coming from a strong development background and has programming experience with Java and/or NodeJS (other programming languages such as Groovy/python are a big bonus)

Your Roles and Responsibilities

The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the management, monitoring and operation of our applications and services in production. The DevOps Engineer will be a hands-on person who can work independently or with minimal guidance and has the ability to drive the team’s deliverables by mentoring and guiding junior team members. You will work with the existing teams very closely and build on top of tools like Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform and support our numerous polyglot services.

Introducing a strong DevOps ethic into the rest of the team is crucial, and we expect you to lead the team on best practices in deployment, monitoring, and tooling. You'll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems, help automate and streamline our operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments. The position is based in our Bangalore office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Providing strategies and creating pathways in support of product initiatives in DevOps and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.
• Optimizations and execution of the CI/CD pipelines of multiple products and timely promotion of the releases to production environments
• Ensuring that mission critical applications are deployed and optimised for high availability, security & privacy compliance and disaster recovery.
• Strategize, implement and verify secure coding techniques, integrate code security tools for Continuous Integration
• Ensure analysis, efficiency, responsiveness, scalability and cross-platform compatibility of applications through captured  metrics, testing frameworks, and debugging methodologies.
• Technical documentation through all stages of development
• Establish strong relationships, and proactively communicate, with team members as well as individuals across the organisation

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience on Devops tools.
• Working experience with Linux, container orchestration and management technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS …).
• Hands-on experience with "infrastructure as code" solutions (Cloudformation, Terraform, Ansible etc).
• Background of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab-CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, Github actions etc).
• Experience with the Hashicorp stack (Vault, Packer, Nomad etc).
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining monitoring/logging/alerting stacks (ELK stack, Prometheus stack, Grafana etc).
• Devops mindset and experience with Agile / SCRUM Methodology
• Basic knowledge of Storage , Databases (SQL and noSQL)
• Good understanding of networking technologies, HAProxy, firewalling and security.
• Experience in Security vulnerability scans and remediation
• Experience in API security and credentials management
• Worked on Microservice configurations across dev/test/prod environments

• 5 - 8 years of experience in Infrastructure setup on Cloud, Build/Release Engineering, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Configuration/Change Management.
• Good experience with Linux/Unix administration and moderate to significant experience administering relational databases such as PostgreSQL, etc.
• Experience with Docker and related tools (Cassandra, Rancher, Kubernetes etc.)
• Experience of working in Config management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies like Azure
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (TICK, ELK, Nagios, PagerDuty)
• Experience with distributed systems and related technologies (NSQ, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with scaling data store technologies is a plus (PostgreSQL, Scylla, Redis) is a plus
• Experience with SSH Certificate Authorities and Identity Management (Netflix BLESS) is a plus

Key Responsibilities :

Look through the various DevOps Tools/Technologies and identify the strengths and provide direction to the DevOps automation team

Out-of-box thought process on the DevOps Automation Platform implementation

Expose various tools and technologies and do POC on integration of the these tools

Evaluate Backend API's for various DevOps tools

Perform code reviews keep in context of RASUI

Mentor the team on the various E2E integrations

Be Liaison in evangelizing the automation solution currently implemented

Bring in various DevOps best Practices/Principles and participate in adoption with various app teams

Must have:

Should possess Bachelors/Masters in computer science with minimum of 8+ years of experience

Should possess minimum 3 years of strong experience in DevOps

Should possess expertise in using various DevOps tools libraries and API's (Jenkins/JIRA/AWX/Nexus/GitHub/BitBucket/SonarQube)

Should possess expertise in optimizing the DevOps stack ( Containers/Kubernetes/Monitoring )

2+ Experience in creating solutions and translate to the development team

Should have strong understanding of OOPs, SDLC (Agile Safe standards)

Proficient in Python , with a good knowledge of its ecosystems (IDEs and Frameworks)

Proficient in various cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google cloud platform)
