Advisor

We are looking for a Java developer responsible for building Java applications. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end (desktop and mobile) counterparts. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.

Backend (Mandatory/Must to have skills) :

1. Core Java/Java8,
2. Spring boot,
3. Spring Security,
4. Hibernate or any other ORM (Object Relational Mapping) framework.
5. SQL/PL-SQL (Oracle or Mysql or postgresql) but mostly Oracle
6. Restful webservices
7. Git

 

Backend (Good to have skills) :

1. Knowledge of SOAP based webservices
2. Struts framework
3. Microservices

 

Backend (Not absolutely necessary but plus point if candidate has knowledge about ) :

1. Docker
2. Apache Kafka/ any other messaging queue tool like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ etc.,)
3. Cloud experience AWS/Azure

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization

 

·       BS/MS degree in CS/EE
·       2-6 years of proven software development experience and proven working experience in Android app development
·       Having published at least one original Android app is a definite plus
·       Experience with Android SDK (experience in AndroidTV framework will be a plus)
·       Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
·       Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
·       Experience with networking technologies
·       Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
·       Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

 Should be able to write effective user stories.
 Product Owner shall blend technical, strategic and tactical knowledge; is the product’s Key
Stakeholder with product “need(s)” who shall guide and champion its development
 Create, develop, evaluate, define and promote product vision giving consideration to client
requirements, market development including competition, market trends, innovation, backlog
and other vision holders
 Prioritise feature development based on ROI and appropriately determined weighting criteria
including development complexity
 Define and update product Roadmap
 Propose and agree release date(s) and monitor progress for release date achievement
 Determine / Refine delivery plan including documented acceptance criteria sign off(s) at each
stage including business level Acceptance Tests
 Provide frequent (scheduled) feed back to Stakeholders and others where appropriate
 Manage Stakeholder and Client (internal and external) expectations through clear, concise and
appropriate communication
 Accept / Reject outcomes and instigate / conduct retrospective reviews as appropriate for
continuous improvement
 Actively engage with Project Manager(s) and be available to others including Development and
QA etc, and motivate using clear goals and objectives.

Experience: 3-6 Years

Skills & Experience
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
Experience in software development and full product life-cycle.
Excellent programming skills in any object oriented programming languages - preferably Java, C/C++/C#, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability.
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
