Must have Requirements for the Role

8+ years of experience in a highly technical role at hyper-growth startup or fast-paced company and 2+ years of experience leading a team

Production level experience with Node.js or Go mandatory.

Experience building highly available and performant applications in any major programming language (e.g. Node.js, Go, Javascript)

In-depth knowledge and experience working with major cloud platform (e.g. AWS (must have experience))

Experience leading product teams

You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers

Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teamsIn-depth knowledge of database and web security

About the Role

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver the highest quality with each release
• Own the acceptance criteria process with developers and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for features
• Create the necessary automation library and framework as required and build automation tests and integrated them to CI/CD pipeline
• Communicate using synchronous and asynchronous channels to collaborate effectively

Requirements for the Role

• 5+ years experience with manual and automation testing
• Experience with QA methodologies for large scale web and mobile applications, understanding of software development process
• Experience with mobile,(android and iOS) web and API automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium and Postman
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teams
• Experience working with SCM tools like Git
• Experience in implementing CI/CD regression pipelines

What you’ll be doing at Novo:

● Systems thinking
● Creating best practices, templates, and automation for build, test, integration and
deployment pipelines on multiple projects
● Designing and developing tools for easily creating and managing dev/test infrastructure
and services in AWS cloud
● Providing expertise and guidance on CI/CD, Github, and other development tools via
containerization
● Monitoring and support systems in Dev, UAT and production environments
● Building mock services and production-like data sources for use in development and
testing
● Managing Github integrations, feature flag systems, code coverage tools, and other
development & monitoring tools tools
● Participating in support rotations to help troubleshoot to infrastructure issues

● Creating and working with containers, as well as using container orchestration tools
(Kubernetes / Docker)
● AWS: S3, EKS, EC2, RDS, Route53, VPC etc.
● Fair understanding of Linux
● Good knowledge of CI/CD : Jenkins / CircleCI / Github Actions
● Basic level of monitoring
● Support for Deployment along with various Web Servers and Linux environments , both
backend and frontend.

About the Role: (specific to the role-- describe the role activities/duties, who they interact with, what they are accountable for, how the role operates in the team, department and organization)

• Build and manage predictive models focussed on credit risk, fraud, conversions, churn, consumer behaviour etc
• Provides best practices, direction for data analytics and business decision making across multiple projects and functional areas
• Implements performance optimizations and best practices for scalable data models, pipelines and modelling
• Resolve blockers and help the team stay productive
• Take part in building the team and iterating on hiring processes

Requirements for the Role: (these are specific to the role-- technical skills and requirements to fulfill the job duties, certifications, years of experience, degree)

• 4+ years of experience in data science roles focussed on managing data processes, modelling and dashboarding
• Strong experience in python, SQL and in-depth understanding of modelling techniques
• Experience working with Pandas, scikit learn, visualization libraries like plotly, bokeh etc.
• Prior experience with credit risk modelling will be preferred
• Deep Knowledge of Python to write scripts to manipulate data and generate automated  reports
