JavascriptLeading the UX Engineering team at AQR you will be responsible for:
Leading set of front-end engineers towards building core infrastructure required for UI development across the firm
Working closely with the business in Bangalore and Greenwich, CT, USA on defining new internal and external application interfaces
Developing the technology strategy for UI development for the firm
Building re-usable web libraries and user-facing components that support large, complex web applications at the firm.
Designing and developing data intensive UI applications with great emphasis on data accuracy,reusability, scalability and performance
Institutionalizing UI development process compatible to work with product owners, users, backend engineers and operations.
Demonstrating the benefits of good design and user experience across AQR
Optimizing web applications on client side (browser) and server side (web servers) to maximize speed and scale.
Continually drive improvements in web infrastructure at the firm to be up-to-date with the latest in the industry.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field of engineering
Over 14+ years of working experience in leading teams and delivering software applications
Strong experience using modern browser frameworks like Angular, or React or Vue
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and other browser technologies including HTML5 and CSS3.
Working experience with various front end libraries and components including Highchart, d3, ag-grid etc.,.
Strong understanding of user experience design and data visualization techniques
Familiarity with the whole web stack, including browser JS engine, HTTP, web servers and optimization
techniques
Outstanding coding, debugging skills and analytical skills

Responsibilities-
Lead generation, Prospecting, Client Acquisition, Negotiation, Closure, Client servicing, Cross Selling and Client Retention.
Managing corporate clients with an enhanced business portfolio.
Making presentations to clients with a precise display of their visibility when placed in the online space.
Designing email campaigns to spread awareness of new products launched.
Prospecting/Providing standard and customized solutions to Clients across domains/segments
Handling tough negotiations/closing deals
Consistency in achieving the sales targets assigned
Setting and managing client expectations
Managing client relationships/Up selling and Cross Selling.
Meeting the weekly, monthly and quarterly targets and generate revenue for the organisation.
To maximise market share and client preference in the assigned market through high quality servicing.
Generates own business leads, business planning/sales planning.
Ensures a customer on boarding process is fast and smooth.

The Team and Your Role
You will be a part of the Enterprise Engineering team, which is responsible for design and development of foundational software utilized by applications throughout AQR, including:
§ Enterprise Cloud Platform
§ Enterprise Messaging Fabric
§ Common Data Access Framework
§ Role Based Entitlements System
§ Application Monitoring and Alerting
§ Application Configuration Management
§ Business Notifications
These foundational services are part of a larger project that streamlines the entire SDLC from project inception through to production and post-production. We build and maintain common development tools and libraries that are implemented in Java, Python and Golang. The libraries provide business applications with core functionalities needed to build any application within our environment. In addition, we provide standardized cloud-based runtime platform with necessary tooling for all AQR applications.
What You Will Bring
§ Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent field from top schools
§ 3 to 5 years of software development experience with substantial individual contribution
§ Outstanding coding, debugging and analytical skills
§ Experience working with complex projects through the software development lifecycle
§ Experience working in a geographically spread out team
§ Hands on programming experience with mastery over at least one programming language in Java or Python
§ Strong knowledge of: Spring, Multithreading, Open Source dbase
§ Microservice architecture
§ RESTful application design
§ Experience designing and developing distributed systems
§ OOP design patterns (especially Java or Python) and data modeling
