About the role
Poshmark is seeking a Lead Software QA Engineer to join the Quality Assurance team. You will design, develop, drive, and deliver high-level test strategies, methodologies, and take a hands-on approach to see that they are implemented timely and efficiently. You will partner with our team to help us build out our QA functions and streamline our manual testing, while maintaining close liaison with other departments on technical matters. Overall, driving the integrity and quality of technical work on significant projects. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to take on big challenges and grow professionally.
Responsibilities
- Conduct manual QA testing of new and existing products, performance and end to end product for Poshmark's mobile applications (iOS & Android) as well as Web application and Cloud Platform
- Develop test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements and user stories
- Identify and write bug reports
- Ability to analyze potential issue and do root cause analysis and assign issue to the right development team
- Follow up with Engineering and Product team members to see bug fixes through completion
- Review bug descriptions, functional requirements, and design documents, incorporating this information into test plans and test cases
- Ability to work with multiple projects at once and across all platforms
- Ability to understand complex system design and implementation to drive in-depth QA tasks
- Ability to lead a small team within a focused area and break down complex tasks into manageable goals for junior team members
- Lead ongoing efforts across QA organization and be the voice of quality for the organization

Qualifications:
- 6 to 9 years of software testing experience in mobile (iOS and android) and desktop environments
- Experience in leading a team and handling projects
- Experience with bug tracking software - experience with JIRA preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
- Aptitude to learn quickly and effectively
- Strong time management and prioritization skills

This position will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading and executing
all aspects of Quality and Testing. The role requires hands-on QA expertise, ability to
take initiative and develop and evolve our QA processes. The right candidate will be able
to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests and the best
way to test.
Skills and Experience:
• 2+ years’ experience in the software quality field including prior hands-on quality
engineering experience in Website, iOS and Android apps testing.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and
procedures to support various development methodologies
• Familiarity with entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit,
Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
• Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and deployment
• Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design,
implement and automate processes
• Experience coordinating with external QA resources
• Prior success using a metrics-driven approach and closed-loop feedback to

Responsibilities:
