Position Overview
We're seeking a skilled Telecom Software Engineer to implement and optimize Momenta’s telecom solution. This role will be responsible for delivering a robust telecom infrastructure capable of handling control plane and user plane signaling, media packet forking, and integration within IMS Core networks.
Key Expectations
📌 Implement and Own the InfrastructureÂ
You will deploy and maintain Momenta’s telecom element, ensuring seamless integration within existing IMS architectures. Your responsibility includes managing SIP and RTP traffic, ensuring media forking for real-time analysis, and maintaining high availability and scalability. This will require strong software implementation knowledge in C/C++.
📌 Ensure High Performance and Reliability
You’ll ensure the SBC meets strict real-time performance criteria, supporting low latency and high throughput for VoIP, VoLTE, and VoNR calls. You will proactively monitor performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize configurations to maintain service quality.
📌 Drive Technical Integration
Coordinate with telecom operators, ensuring smooth interconnection with existing network components (MGCF, A-SBC, P-CSCF). Your expertise will facilitate seamless interactions and compatibility with diverse telecom environments.
📌 Establish Rigorous Testing ProtocolsÂ
Set up robust testing environments to simulate real-world conditions and validate SBC functionality across different call flows, network topologies, and security scenarios. Document results clearly to demonstrate reliability and compliance.
📌 Prepare and Manage DeploymentÂ
You’ll oversee deployment in containerized environments, ensuring easy management, monitoring, and maintenance. Develop clear documentation and procedures for operations and technical support teams.
📌 Communicate and Collaborate EffectivelyÂ
Work closely with Momenta's CTO, developers, and external telecom stakeholders. Clear communication and problem-solving abilities are essential. You should confidently explain technical decisions, identify potential risks, and propose robust solutions proactively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
🎯 Technical Skills:
Protocols & Signaling: SIP, RTP, SDP, DiameterÂ
Telecom Architecture: IMS Core, SBC deployment, VoIP/VoLTE/VoNR
Programing Languages: C/C++
Tools & Technologies: Kamailio, RTPengine, Wireshark, tcpdump
Network & Security: Firewall configurations, encryption, secure signaling
DevOps & Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD workflows
🎯 Preferred Experience:
Prior experience deploying and managing B2BUA solutions in telecom environments Familiarity with telecom standards and regulatory requirements Hands-on experience with media forking and deep packet inspection Understanding of real-time analytics integration

Job Description
- Preference would be given to having experience in IVR and Call Center application development.
- Hands-on experience in Kamailio SIP Server
- Hands-on experience in WEBRTC
- Asterisk integration with PSTN is preferred.
- Asterisk integration with Database (MySQL and MSSQL) with knowledge of queries and stored procedures.
- Scripting with Shell, Perl.
- Experience in installing Hosted VoIP
Nice to have- Good knowledge of SIP and IAX.
- MySQL and Telephony Domain.
- Ability to test and troubleshoot Asterisk applications/issues
- Knowledge of C programming in Asterisk
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
The candidate must have:
- 2 - 4 years of experience working on the Asterisk platform.
- Strong Knowledge of PBX, SIP, and RTP protocols.
- Strong knowledge of multi-asterisk server architecture
- Sound knowledge of Asterisk Dial-plan, Asterisk Gateway Interface and Asterisk Manager Interface.
- Worked on Queue, IVR and Voicemail-related applications.
- Expert in Asterisk installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Expert knowledge of installing and configuring Asterisk with PSTN card.
- R & D skills in Asterisk.
- Experienced with Linux (LAMP) servers (Centos, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
