We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head – Aerospace Production to lead our Production Planning, Project Management, and Manufacturing Operations for aerospace and defence programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution of customer orders from production planning to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent aerospace quality standards. The role demands strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and execution for aerospace and defence manufacturing programs.
- Prepare and monitor master production schedules, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer commitments and project priorities.
- Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution from order receipt to dispatch.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Procurement, Supply Chain, Stores, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Plan machine loading, manpower allocation, and capacity utilization to maximize plant productivity and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, bought-out components, and subcontracted activities through effective coordination with procurement and supply chain teams.
- Monitor production progress, identify schedule deviations, and implement corrective actions to achieve committed delivery timelines.
- Conduct regular production and project review meetings, monitor key milestones, and proactively manage project risks.
- Drive on-time customer deliveries while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP), inventory levels, and manufacturing performance to optimize working capital and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization techniques.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, aerospace quality requirements, and customer-specific manufacturing procedures.
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Adherence, Production Efficiency, Capacity Utilization, Inventory Turns, and Manufacturing Cost.
- Prepare and present production dashboards, MIS reports, project status updates, and operational reviews to senior management.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing production planning and project management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA in Operations/Project Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Precision Engineering, or High-End Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Production Planning & Control (PPC), Project Management, Manufacturing Operations, Capacity Planning, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing complex manufacturing projects, customer deliveries, cross-functional teams, and high-precision production environments.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

We are urgently seeking a Senior SAP PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) Consultant with strong implementation experience.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting end-to-end project delivery for SAP PPDS, contributing to solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
Mandatory Skills : SAP PPDS, CIF Integration, Heuristics, Pegging Strategies, Production Scheduling, S/4 HANA or ECC, Greenfield/Brownfield Implementation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation of SAP PPDS modules including system configuration and integration with SAP ECC/S4 HANA.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define functional specifications.
- Design, configure, and test SAP PPDS solutions to meet business needs.
