Role Summary

Our CloudOps/DevOps teams are distributed across India, Canada, and Israel.

As a Manager, you will lead teams of Engineers and champion configuration management, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement. The role involves close collaboration with global leaders to ensure our applications, infrastructure, and processes remain scalable, secure, and supportable. You will work closely with Engineers across Dev, DevOps, and DBOps to design and implement solutions that improve customer value, reduce costs, and eliminate toil.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the professional development of Engineers and support teams in meeting business objectives
• Collaborate with leaders in Israel on priorities, architecture, delivery, and product management
• Build secure, scalable, and self-healing systems
• Manage and optimize deployment pipelines
• Triage and remediate production issues
• Participate in on-call escalations

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience
• 3+ years managing Engineering teams
• 8+ years as a Site Reliability or Platform Engineer
• 5+ years administering Linux and Windows environments
• 3+ years programming/scripting (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
• Strong experience with OS internals, virtualization, storage, networking, and firewalls
• Experience maintaining On-Prem (90%) and Cloud (10%) environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

What does a successful Senior DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv?

This role’s focus will be on contributing and enhancing our DevOps environment within Issuer Solution group, where our cross functional Scrum teams are delivering solutions built on cutting-edge mobile technology and products. You will be expected to support across the wider business unit, leading DevOps practices and initiatives.

What will you do:

• Build, manage, and deploy CI/CD pipelines.

• DevOps Engineer - Helm Chart, Rundesk, Openshift

• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.

• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure

• Optimize and automate release/development cycles and processes.

• Be part of and help promote our DevOps culture.

• Identify and implement continuous improvements to the development practice

What you must have:

• 3+ years of experience in devops with hands-on experience in the following:

- Writing automation scripts for deployments and housekeeping using shell scripts (bash) and ansible playbooks

- Building docker images and running/managing docker instances

- Building Jenkins pipelines using groovy scripts

- Working knowledge on kubernetes including application deployments, managing application configurations and persistence volumes

• Has good understanding on infrastructure as code

• Ability to write and update documentation

• Demonstrate a logical, process orientated approach to problems and troubleshooting

• Ability to collaborate with multi development teams

What you are preferred to have:

• 8+ years of development experience

• Jenkins administration experience

• Hands-on experience in building and deploying helm charts

Process Skills:

• Should have worked in Agile Project

Responsibilities

• Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Design, build and automate the AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Networking, EMR, RDS, S3, ALB, Cloud Front, etc.) using Terraform
• Manage end-to-end production workloads hosted on Docker and AWS
• Automate CI pipeline using Groovy DSL
• Deploy and configure Kubernetes clusters (EKS)
• Design and build a CI/CD Pipeline to deploy applications using Jenkins and Docker

Eligibility

• At least 8 years of proven experience in AWS-based DevOps/cloud engineering and implementations
• Expertise in all common AWS Cloud services like EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB, Redis, etc.
• Experience in deploying and managing production environments in Amazon AWS
• Strong experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Knowledge of application build, deployment, and configuration using one of the tools: Jenkins

1. Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
2. About 5 years of professional experience supporting AWS cloud environments
3. Certified Amazon Architect Associate or Architect
4. Experience serving as lead (shift management, reporting) will be a plus
5. AWS Architect Certified Solution Architect Professional (Must have)
6. Minimum 4yrs experience, maximum 8 years’ experience.

• As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for
• Automated provisioning of infrastructure in AWS/Azure/OpenStack environments.
• Creation of CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
• Proactive Monitoring of overall infrastructure (Logs/Resources etc)
• Deployment of application to various cloud environments.
• Should be able to lead/guide a team towards achieving goals and meeting the milestones defined.
• Practice and implement best practices in every aspect of project deliverable.
• Keeping yourself up to date with new frameworks and tools and enabling the team to use them.

Skills Required

• Experience in Automation of CI/CD processes using tools such as GIT, Gerrit, Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure Pipeline, Gitlab
• Experience in working with AWS and Azure platforms and Cloud-Native automation tools such as AWS cloud formation and Azure Resource Manager.
• Experience in monitoring solutions such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus
• Web Server/Application Server deployments and administration.
• Good Communication, Team Handling, Problem-solving, Work Ethic, and Creativity.
• Work experience of at least 1 year in the following are mandatory.
