Summary - 

Looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for architecting and developing high-performance, scalable software solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across teams to build impactful products.

Responsibilities:

• Create scalable and maintainable architectures to solve business problems efficiently.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, services, and systems.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and sharing best practices.
• Lead and participate in writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code. Ensure code is well-documented and adheres to industry best practices.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong proficiency skills required - HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, Java/Jee, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Relational Database (Oracle/MySql DB), Microservices architecture (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) with a deep understanding of software development fundamentals.

Competencies:

• Strong experience using Git, Maven or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical skills and a demonstrative ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid experience in designing complex, scalable systems and web applications, including microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Your Role

At the level of lead engineer, you are seen as a natural leader by your peers. You have a deep experience in designing and building secure, scalable, applications for the web using .Net, AWS and SQL - a background working in financial services at enterprise scale is preferred. In this role you will be responsible for designing our global Digital Wealth platform product features , this includes core application functionality, API work as well as integrations with key partners. As one of the team's leaders, this person should be empowering our development team to make sound technical and architectural decisions. You will be accountable for quality of deliverables coming out of your squad and show ability to quickly learn and analyze complex system. This is a hands-on position, working in agile world on meaningful projects with a direct, immediate and visible impact to our key global clients.

To complete development activities required to meet business requirements. Development activities should be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to all Invesco development standards. The ability to communicate with project managers and other IT professionals is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

•               Gather and analyze information on existing business processes in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.

•               Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes. May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems.

•               Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems.

•               Review requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposals.

•               Create cost and time estimates along with project plans to enable prioritization and execution of work.

•               Complete all tasks related to development, unit testing, user acceptance testing, reporting and system implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.
