We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Tester with hands-on experience in Payment Switch
systems (such as BASE24, FIS, Connex, or other switching platforms). The ideal candidate will
be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of critical financial
transactions and interfaces within payment ecosystems. This role is essential to ensure
seamless and secure processing across payment channels such as POS, ATM, e-commerce,
and mobile.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios for payment
switch-related projects.
● Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of transaction
processing systems.
● Validate payment flows, including authorization, settlement, reversal, chargeback,
and reconciliation.
● Conduct ISO 8583 message validation and ensure accurate mapping and transaction
flow.
● Verify transaction processing between various systems – including issuer, acquirer,
card networks, and payment gateways.
● Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA leads to clarify
requirements and resolve defects.
● Log, track, and manage defects in bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
● Perform batch job testing and backend validation using SQL or database queries.
● Prepare test reports, logs, and documentation as per QA standards.
● Collaborate in UAT support and deployment verification activities
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in software QA with a strong focus on manual testing.
● Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Payment Switch systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Build a scalable Payments Automation System
- Meet regularly with key customer facing teams to collect and analyse user feedback to shape new product ideas and user requirements.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :
- 5-7 years of experience in product management with 3 or more years in Payments background
- Strong customer centricity
- Ability to think creative and solve problem
- Familiarity in agile development framework will be preferable.
- Prior experience at fast growing fintech / B2B startups will be preferable
- Highly adaptable and aware. Comfortable in an evolving and dynamic environment.

Technical skills required:
- 5+ years building enterprise systems
- Worked on one or more large scale applications on Python Django
- Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and availability with an understanding of the CAP theorem and its implications for real-world distributed systems
- Understanding of distributed systems like Dynamo, HBase, various messaging and queuing systems and understanding of Time, Clocks, and Ordering of Events, rate control, load distribution
