Zoko makes it easy for businesses to do Sales, Marketing and Customer Support on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is the internet of the #nextbillion and Zoko’s vision is to become the Shopify for merchants, selling on WhatsApp. We are backed the best - YCombinator, Ryan Hoover (the founder of Product Hunt), Binny Bansal backed 021 Capital and other illustrious YC Alumni.
We have over 300 paying merchants and were already profitable when we raised $1.4 Million in March ’21 to bring on more engineering talent to execute our vision. You will be working with a great team of fully-remote engineers, with a bias towards action. Reporting to a CTO who single handedly built an entire web app that got us 20 paying businesses and raised our Seed round. We brought-on our first engineer after that. Top 3 characteristics we look for are Execution, Execution, Execution. We’d love to see what you have built before and dig deep into those. Let’s talk about problems you have solved before and how you’ve approached them.
This is a great ground floor opportunity with a great salary and equity package. To give a sense of how valuable our equity is, the first employee’s equity has already grown 15X in the last 12 months.

30-40 LPA + 0.15% to 0.2% equity

Define the Role
( Areas of functioning)

1. Leads and executes the mobile development strategy for the company
2. Mentors a young and hungry development team
3. Participate in the overall growth of the product by developing / researching tech that can give the product an edge over the competition

Key outcomes expected
from the role in next 2-4 quarters

1. Implementation of the mobile version(s) of the app in Android and iOS
2.Establish a support team to handle mobile related support issues
3. Track and improve product usability
4. Improve the stability of product releases

Persona

8-12 years of experience in web and mobile development
Experience in leading and executing project(s)
Flutter experience is a plus
Great humour sense
