Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Assembler
Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing, scheduling, and job automation
Design and implement DB2 database objects - Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers
Handle VSAM file processing - KSDS, ESDS, RRDS and perform file maintenance activities
Debug and resolve production issues, analyze dumps, and provide RCA
Work on code enhancements, performance tuning, and impact analysis
Collaborate with business analysts and QA to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Participate in code reviews and follow CMMI/ITIL processes
Support production deployments and provide L2/L3 support as needed
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications while ensuring high performance, reliability, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Create and modify JCL for batch processing and job scheduling.
- Design, develop, and optimize DB2 databases, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
- Work with VSAM datasets, including KSDS, ESDS, and RRDS.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in COBOL.
