Responsibilities
- Perform detailed QC of 2D engineering drawings with a strong focus on accuracy, standards, and manufacturability.
- Validate dimensions, tolerances, GD&T symbols, views, callouts, and BOM elements.
- Cross-check drawings against 3D CAD models and identify mismatches.
- Flag design or annotation errors and guide drafters on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ASME/ISO standards and internal guidelines.
- Develop and refine QC checklists, SOPs, and quality frameworks.
- Collaborate with design, drafting, and automation teams to improve quality.
- Maintain QC reports and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Must-Have Skills
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 5–12 years of experience reviewing mechanical drawings in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, tooling, or precision engineering.
- Strong command of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret 3D CAD models in SolidWorks/Creo/NX or similar tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Worked with Plastic components and parts
- ASME Certified with strength in GD&T concepts.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DEFENCE DOMAIN
a) Design and Modelling:
§ Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs of components and systems using tools such as SolidWorks- preferred or NX CAD, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
§ Develop and refine engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
§ Ensure designs meet technical specifications, functional requirements, and industry standards.
b) Prototyping and Testing
§ Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and test prototypes.
§ Perform feasibility studies and stress analyses using simulation tools or manual methods.
§ Identify and address design issues during testing and validation phases.
c) Process Optimization
§ Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production
§ Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in projects.
§ Continuously improve existing designs to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
d) Collaboration and Documentation

What You Will Do
•
Develop robust, low-latency pipelines integrating computational geometry methods, mechanical engineering heuristics, and graph-based reinforcement learning algorithms to address multi-objective optimization problems

Own the creation and refinement of computational geometry features utilizing low-level CAD kernels (Python/C++)
•
Work closely with engineers to directly observe and enhance their daily workflows using your algorithms
•
Collaborate with the founding team to translate customer insights into actionable product specifications, shaping the strategic product roadmap
•
Engage proactively with customers, deeply understanding their pain points to ensure our solutions meaningfully address their challenges
What We're Looking For
•
3-7+ years of hands-on experience with geometry kernels and low-level C++ operations
•
Experience building and deploying reinforcement learning algorithms and machine learning pipelines
•
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to clearly articulate technical ideas, trade-offs, and solutions
•
[Bonus] Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, contact, and manage vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Generate and process Requests for Quotations (RFQs); coordinate vendor confirmations and responses.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Proforma Invoices (PIs) with accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to prevent shortages or excess.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procurement records—contracts, invoices, delivery notes, and orders.
- Conduct quality checks during incoming inspections to ensure material compliance and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for quality certificates, compliance documents, and regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project goals.
- Experience in 3DCS(preferred) Stack up tool or any other 3D Tolerance analysis tool
- Experience in performing Tolerance stack up calculations (1D & 2D) like Worst case, RSS etc
- Experience in using GD&T symbols in drawing (ASME or ISO)
- Knowledge in Parts & Assembly inspection technics (CMM, Inline Measurement etc.)
- Knowledge in Assembly technics (Basic understanding of jig and fixture concept)
- Knowledge in Press, Injection moulding & Casting tools.
- Exposure to Component / Overall vehicle development process
- Fair communication and interpersonal skills.
