Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D mechanical drawings of CNC-machined parts and cast/casted components
- Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards to define form, fit, and function of parts

Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- 2–7 years of hands-on experience in 2D mechanical drafting, with a primary focus on CNC machining and casting
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS for creating and editing detailed drawings
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T principles
- ASME Y14.5 certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory

We are looking for a competent and detail-driven Costing Engineer Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry preferably sheet metal. The role focuses on accurate costing of components and assemblies made from stainless steel and other materials, ensuring competitive pricing and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal parts and assemblies.
- Evaluate raw materials, laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating, and assembly, punching, deep drawing, TIG welding, buffing/polishing costs.
- Collaborate closely with production, procurement/purchase and design teams for costing inputs and feasibility analysis.
- Analyse cost variances and suggest cost optimization strategies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material pricing and rate negotiations.
- Support the sales team by providing costing details for RFQs and pricing decisions. Maintain and update costing records using ERP tools.
- Assist in budgeting and pricing strategies for new and existing products.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in costing within the sheet metal/stainless steel manufacturing domain.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
- Experience with costing software and MS Excel
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of fabrication processes shearing, punching, bending, welding, powder coating.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, contact, and manage vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Generate and process Requests for Quotations (RFQs); coordinate vendor confirmations and responses.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Proforma Invoices (PIs) with accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to prevent shortages or excess.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procurement records—contracts, invoices, delivery notes, and orders.
- Conduct quality checks during incoming inspections to ensure material compliance and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for quality certificates, compliance documents, and regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project goals.
- Role and responsibilities: Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press tools. Inspect, repair, and reassemble stamping and forming tools. Troubleshoot tool issues and ensure minimal machine downƟme. Maintain records of maintenance and spare inventory. ParƟcipate in new tool design, development, and trials. Supervise tool manufacturing and modificaƟons as per specificaƟons. OpƟmize tool life and ease of maintenance. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for tool development. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent analyƟcal and problem-solving skills Knowledge of press tools (progressive, compound, and blanking tools). Ability to read tool drawings, GD&T, and part drawings. Proficient in tool regrinding, fiƫng, assembly pracƟces. Experience in hydraulic/pneumaƟc/mechanical press tool operaƟons. Knowledge of stamping process / Press machines / Tool mfg./ Heat treatment Experience of handling different materials like copper alloys, brass, stainless steel, Aluminium etc. Good Knowledge in convenƟonal machines- lathe, milling, grinding etc. Good knowledge in engineering material science. Good Knowledge of Wire cut, Sinker EDM and CNC/VMC machines. Good communicaƟon skill + knowledge on excel, word & PPT. Qualifications: BE/ Diploma (Mechanical, Tool & die making) -MSBTE, IGTR, IDTR, NTTF, GTTC
- Experience in 3DCS(preferred) Stack up tool or any other 3D Tolerance analysis tool
- Experience in performing Tolerance stack up calculations (1D & 2D) like Worst case, RSS etc
- Experience in using GD&T symbols in drawing (ASME or ISO)
- Knowledge in Parts & Assembly inspection technics (CMM, Inline Measurement etc.)
- Knowledge in Assembly technics (Basic understanding of jig and fixture concept)
- Knowledge in Press, Injection moulding & Casting tools.
- Exposure to Component / Overall vehicle development process
- Fair communication and interpersonal skills.
