AM:PM is a news platform built for short-form video reels for Gen Z and millennials who want to stay informed without sitting through a panel of five people agreeing with each other for 40 minutes. We go deep without going slow. We understand internet culture because we live in it, not because we read a report about it.

Why this role matters

The internet produces thousands of stories every hour. The challenge isn't finding content, it's finding the right content. This role exists to identify newsworthy videos, trending conversations, and cultural moments, verify what matters, and package them into content people actually want to click, watch, and share.

What you will own

1. Scout newsworthy videos, creator content, and trending conversations across multiple platforms.
2. Identify stories and moments worth publishing on AM:PM.
3. Research and fact-check information before it reaches our audience.
4. Write compelling headlines, video titles, push notifications, captions, and social copy.
5. Work closely with the editorial and video teams to package stories for maximum reach and engagement.
6. Stay on top of politics, business, technology, entertainment, sports, and internet culture to ensure AM:PM is always ahead of the conversation.
7. Move fast without compromising accuracy, credibility, or editorial standards.

Who you are

• 0-2 years of experience through internships, freelance work, journalism, digital media, content or editorial roles.
• You instinctively know where trends and stories break first.
• You can write headlines and notifications that make people stop scrolling.
• You have strong news judgment and understand the importance of fact-checking.
• You are internet-native, curious, resourceful, and obsessed with what's happening online.
• Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate within commutable distance.

This is a 0-to-1 journey. You will help define how AM:PM discovers, packages, and delivers stories for the next generation of news consumers. Bring your writing, projects, or anything that proves you know how to spot a story before everyone else does.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Ethical Hacker (Penetration Tester) who will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications before malicious hackers can exploit them. The role involves conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and recommending security improvements to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities

·      Conduct penetration testing on web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and networks.

·      Identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems and infrastructure.

·      Perform vulnerability assessments using automated tools and manual techniques.

·      Simulate cyberattacks to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.

·      Prepare detailed security reports highlighting risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation strategies.

·      Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to fix security gaps.

·      Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks such as OWASP, ISO 27001, and NIST.

·      Conduct security audits and risk assessments across digital platforms.

·      Stay updated on the latest hacking techniques, security vulnerabilities, and cyber threats.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and application security.
• Experience with security tools such as:
• Burp Suite
• Metasploit
• Nmap
• Wireshark
• Kali Linux
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of Linux, Windows, and cloud security environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale production infrastructure in AWS for the HappyFox platform and its products.
• Research, Build/Implement systems, services and tooling to improve uptime, reliability and maintainability of our backend infrastructure. And to meet our internal SLOs and customer-facing SLAs.

• Proficient in writing automation scripts or building infrastructure tools using Python/Ruby/Bash/Golang
• Experience in deploying and managing production Python/NodeJS/Golang applications to AWS EC2, ECS or EKS.
