Technical Writer

We are in the lookout for a talented Content Writer to create compelling blog posts, white papers, product descriptions, social media content and web copy. We’re looking for someone who can expand our digital footprint and drive more value through online content. You should have had a proven track record of producing pieces that increase engagement and drive leads. This role requires high level of creativity, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights to write better material. 

Your responsibilities: 

•     Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy

•     Researching and organizing facts and sources

•     Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies

•     Building a following for brand on social media with creative work

•     Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original

•     Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers

•     Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)

•     Be willing to answer any questions posted by their readers.

•     Create content on e-books, podcasts etc.

•     Promote content on social media

•     Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics

•     Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)

•     Update website content as needed

•     Edit content produced by other members of the team

•      Analyse content marketing metrics and makes changes as needed 

•     Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content idea 

Skill sets/Experience we require:

•     Proven work experience as a Content Writer, copywriter or similar role

•     Portfolio of published articles

•     Experience doing research using multiple sources

•     Familiarity with web publications

•     Excellent writing and editing skills in English

•     Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)

•     Ability to meet deadlines

•     Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics

Pedigree:

Roles and responsibilities:

• Can put together a content strategy from scratch

• Responsible for producing high-quality engaging content for websites, Blogs and designing content for social media.
• Candidates will have to assist the team of Product Managers and Developers in the documentation of content based on product briefs.
• Work on Client proposal and Statement of Work (SoW).

• Ability to research new testing topics and write engaging content.

• The candidate must be passionate about technology content and SEO with the ability to create plagiarism free and SEO-friendly content.
• Develop and implement effective SEO strategies
• Should be comfortable in using proofreading tools like Grammarly, ProWritingAid, Hemingway App etc.
• Experience in using excel, google sheets, Word and PowerPoint is required.
• Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns
• Sending Weekly newsletters and realigning content based on customer feedback.
• Ability to connect with prospects through Linkedin Sales Navigator to nurture leads further
• Research and create articles and blogs for the website:
• Linkedin: Create, update business articles and participate in business groups
• Quora: Update answers and articles 
• Facebook: Create, update articles and participate in local groups
• Youtube: Optimise the videos
• Instagram: Casual updates about FG
• Coordinating content, maintaining aesthetics and technical tags
• Make outbound calls to the clients to follow up on leads generated
• Developing proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Proofread marketing collaterals before it goes live

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or related field.
• Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics.
• Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
• The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
• At least two years of experience writing for a B2B audience.
• Experience using WordPress, Weebly, and/or Joomla! preferred.

About the Role

Vakilsearch is seeking a to join our Product Team to clearly and concisely communicate product concepts and workflows. Your primary responsibility is to develop a unified and standardised content strategy. You will work closely with the Customer Journey team, UI/UX team and Marketing team to delight and educate our customers, bringing expertise in technical writing, product content and improving overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Write UX copy for a variety of products, projects and scenarios
• Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Illustrators, Marketing team and front-end developers throughout the creative and product development process
• Strategize content for the product flow, from requirement gathering to ideation, research, production, testing and review feedback
• Think like a user and write catchy notifications content for mobile and web products
• Maintain consistency in communication by defining a framework for Product Designers

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as UX writer (or similar job titles)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related is an advantage
• Experience writing content for web/mobile products
• Experience writing emails, landing pages, and editorial content
• Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-­functional teams
• A deep sense of accountability, adaptability, and being able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Portfolio of writing samples to be shared along with resume

Needs to be interested in gaming and/or tech. We will use their research skills to create SEO optimized guides and walkthroughs for various online portals.

*Fact-checking from multiple sources is compulsory.

*Plays PC/Console/Mobile games.

*No rewriting from other sites or plagiarism of any form allowed. Content should be entirely unique and packed with information that the player/user needs.

*Quick grasping skills and can create guides/tips & tricks after referring to Youtube videos and more.

*Top-notch research skills.

*Writing should be to-the-point, clear and concise.

*Good communication and understanding skills.

*Excellent proof-reading skills - typos and poor sentence structure will not be helpful.

*Focused on meeting deadlines in an undistracted manner: the end-goal is a minimum of 5 articles per day (around 300-400 words each).

*Knowledge of Photoshop will be a good add-on.

*Knowledge of Word press drafting  will be a good add-on.

*Should be a keen learner and dedicated to work long-term.

• Take full ownership for creation and ongoing maintenance of the End User Manual for Corridor Platforms software.

• The content writer will need to work closely with the Head of Products and developers to document the functional use of platform capabilities from an end user perspective. Updates to the End User Manual are done at every major product release.  

• On an ongoing basis, it will be the responsibility of the content writer to keep the End User Manual in-sync with platform capabilities as it evolves across releases. 

• As a secondary responsibility based on bandwidth, the content writer will also help in development of professional marketing materials, social media content (blogs, website content as example) and support online branding of the firm. 

• 2-5 yrs experience in content development

• Proven record of best-in-class writing skills demonstrated in a professional portfolio with impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in style and expressions of writing. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaborate with multiple stakeholders across tech, product managers and data scientists. 

• Strong ability to structure concepts and articulate them in well designed and logically flowing blocks of documentation which includes text, images and videos (as necessary). 

• Strict adherence to the style guides of Corridor Platforms and their policies for publication. 

• Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary. 

• Proficiency with computers, reasonable familiarity with Markdown text and development environments like Visual Studio as well as desktop publishing tools. Familiarity with using Google G suite and Microsoft Office 365 Solution suite would also be highly preferred. 

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or technical writing would be preferred but not necessary
