Technical Writer

Position Overview: Virtana is seeking a technical writer who is passionate about creating and delivering customer-centered technical content. We’re looking for a collaborative, creative team member who understands how to write clear, concise, and relevant content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, edit, and deliver accurate and effective documentation for Virtana products. 
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and members of the Information Development team to ensure quality and accuracy of content. 
• Follow our documentation guidelines to produce high quality documentation. 
• Prioritize projects when working with multiple engineering teams. 
• Analyze customer feedback before and after delivering documentation to enhance content depth, quality, and relevance. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience writing documentation for Cloud or Enterprise products. 
• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Technical Writing is preferred. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Experience writing release notes and creating videos. 
• Experience with XML, DITA. 
• Familiarity working with Jira and Confluence. 
• Good collaboration skills with the writers and cross-functional teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Content Writer with a strong background in the IT services and software development industry. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of software development terminology, emerging technologies, AI tools, and the technical ecosystem to create high-quality, engaging, and search-optimized content.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and ASO (App Store Optimization), with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content that drives visibility, engagement, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality technical content, including blogs, website pages, landing pages, case studies, whitepapers, technical articles, and service pages.

Develop SEO-friendly content using keyword research, search intent analysis, on-page optimization, and content structuring.

Implement AEO and GEO strategies to improve content visibility across AI-powered search engines, answer engines, and generative AI platforms.

Create and optimize content for ASO (App Store Optimization), including app descriptions, titles, metadata, and keyword placement.

Research software development, web and mobile applications, SaaS solutions, AI/ML, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.

Collaborate with developers, project managers, SEO specialists, and marketing teams to ensure technical accuracy and content relevance.

Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI-powered platforms for research, ideation, outlining, and content optimization while maintaining originality and accuracy.

Conduct competitor research, content gap analysis, and keyword mapping to identify new content opportunities.

Edit, proofread, and optimize existing content for readability, grammar, consistency, and search performance.

Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, business objectives, and the requirements of IT service-based clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical content writing or IT-focused content writing.

Previous experience working with an IT services or software development company is mandatory.

Strong understanding of software development concepts, technical terminology, IT services, and digital technologies.

Hands-on experience with SEO, AEO, GEO, and ASO (Mobile App Optimization).

Proven experience writing technical blogs, website content, service pages, landing pages, case studies, and industry-specific articles.

Strong knowledge of keyword research, search intent, content optimization, and organic search visibility.

Practical experience using ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools for content research and creation.

Excellent English writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills.

Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging, and user-friendly content.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
