Job Description:

The Senior System Engineer will have expertise in managing both Linux and Windows environments, along with hands-on experience in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management is essential. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation, deployment, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has to oversee and participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization and documentation of all network hardware and software. This includes managing multiple projects, planning network technology roadmaps and configuring/optimizing network services both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage, maintain, and monitor Linux and Windows servers to ensure high availability and performance.

· Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for both operating systems and DBA servers.

· Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

· Design and implement Kubernetes clusters to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.

· Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation of repetitive tasks, configuration management,

and system provisioning.

· Implement security best practices for both Linux and Windows environments.

· Set up and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and data.

· Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot application issues.

· Manage VM Ware in a high availability environment with Disaster Recovery

· Good experience in RAID & Firewall

· Maintaining and managing SQL database server support

· Experience with scripting languages Unix/Shell, Bash or PowerShell

· Assist Quality Assurance with testing program changes, new releases or user documentation and support

new product release activities that include testing customer flows

· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and is required to participate in on-call rotation, which

includes different shift timings, weekends, and holidays

· Work across multiple time zones with remote team members

· Perform other duties as deemed necessary to provide quality service to the clients

Experience and Skills Required:

· Minimum 4+ years of experience in Linux and Windows administration

· 3 years of experience in VM Ware in a high availability environment with Disaster Recovery

· Good experience in RAID & Firewall

· 2+ years of experience in SQL database server support

· Ability to quickly acquire an in-depth knowledge of multiple custom applications

· Experience in setting up IT policies based on best practices and monitoring them

· Experience in shell scripting and automating tasks

· Experience in hardware and software monitoring tools

· Experience in administration and best practices for Apache and Tomcat

· Experience in handling Cisco router and firewall configurations and management

· Working knowledge on SQL Server, Oracle and other RDBMS databases

· Must be proactive and possess strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills

· Must possess excellent written and verbal presentation skills

· Must be self-motivated

· Certification in Linux/Windows administration is preferable.

Academics:

· Bachelor's / Master's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

What you must have:

• 3+ years of experience in devops with hands-on experience in the following:

- Writing automation scripts for deployments and housekeeping using shell scripts (bash) and ansible playbooks

- Building docker images and running/managing docker instances

- Building Jenkins pipelines using groovy scripts

- Working knowledge on kubernetes including application deployments, managing application configurations and persistence volumes

• Has good understanding on infrastructure as code

• Ability to write and update documentation

• Demonstrate a logical, process orientated approach to problems and troubleshooting

• Ability to collaborate with multi development teams

What you are preferred to have:

• 8+ years of development experience

• Jenkins administration experience

● Systems thinking
● Creating best practices, templates, and automation for build, test, integration and
deployment pipelines on multiple projects
● Designing and developing tools for easily creating and managing dev/test infrastructure
and services in AWS cloud
● Providing expertise and guidance on CI/CD, Github, and other development tools via
containerization
● Monitoring and support systems in Dev, UAT and production environments
● Building mock services and production-like data sources for use in development and

● Managing Github integrations, feature flag systems, code coverage tools, and other

Job Description

• Assessing existing customer systems and/or cloud environment to determine the best migration approach and supporting tools used
• Build a secure and compliant cloud environment, with a proven enterprise operating model, on-going cost optimisation, and day-to-day infrastructure management
• Provide and implement cloud solutions to reduce operational overhead and risk, and automates common activities, such as change requests, monitoring, patch management, security, and backup services, and provides full-lifecycle services to provision, run, and support their infrastructure
• Collaborate with internal service teams to meet the clients’ needs for their infrastructure and application deployments
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure deployments, recreate customer issues, and build proof of concept environments that abide by cloud-best-practices & well architecture frameworks
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers’ individual needs
• Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that will span across multiple cloud platforms and services
• Identify and drive improvements on process and technical related issues. Act as an escalation point of contact for the clients
• Drive clients meetings & communication during reviews

Requirement:

• Degree in computer science or a similar field.
• At least 2 year of experience in the field of cloud computing.
• Experience with CI/CD systems.
• Strong in Cloud services
• Exposure to AWS/GCP and other cloud-based infrastructure platforms
• Experience with AWS configuration and management – EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudFront etc
• Exposure in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms or other cloud server such as Azure, Google Cloud
• Proficient in the use and administration of all versions of MS Windows Server
• Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and web server configuration and monitoring
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, Perl

• Strong experience with Windows/Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration.

• Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell Scripting /Python/ PHP/Groovy, Bash.  
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as   Agile, Jira / WorkFront etc.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration.

Job Specifications:-

• Building and maintaining tools, solutions and micro services associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors.  
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 5 - 8 years of experience in Infrastructure setup on Cloud, Build/Release Engineering, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Configuration/Change Management.
• Good experience with Linux/Unix administration and moderate to significant experience administering relational databases such as PostgreSQL, etc.
• Experience with Docker and related tools (Cassandra, Rancher, Kubernetes etc.)
• Experience of working in Config management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies like Azure
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (TICK, ELK, Nagios, PagerDuty)
• Experience with distributed systems and related technologies (NSQ, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with scaling data store technologies is a plus (PostgreSQL, Scylla, Redis) is a plus
• Experience with SSH Certificate Authorities and Identity Management (Netflix BLESS) is a plus
• Experience with multi-domain SSL certs and provisioning a plus (Let's Encrypt) is a plus
