Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) administration, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Expertise in GitOps implementation using ArgoCD
• Strong experience with Crossplane for infrastructure provisioning and orchestration
• Hands-on experience with New Relic for monitoring, observability, and performance management
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure and application deployments
• Implement and support GitOps workflows using ArgoCD
• Design and manage infrastructure provisioning using Crossplane
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and user experience using New Relic
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
• Collaborate with development and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable cloud-native solutions
• Implement Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and automation tools
• Ensure platform stability, security, scalability, and operational excellence
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance-related issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps processes, tooling, and automation practices
• Support cloud infrastructure management and containerized application environments on AWS
• Promote DevOps best practices, governance, and operational standards across teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields

Position Overview:

We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, India. As a DevOps Engineer at Kiru, you will play a critical role in ensuring our payment infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize your expertise in technology infrastructure configuration to manage and automate infrastructure effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers and technology management, to design and implement robust and efficient DevOps solutions.
• Configure and maintain a secure backend environment focusing on network isolation and VPN access.
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions like ZipKin, Jaeger, New Relic, or DataDog and visualisation and alerting solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Work closely with developers to instrument code for visualisation and alerts, ensuring system performance and stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate on the selection and implementation of appropriate DevOps tools and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging DevOps trends and best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to DevOps processes and configurations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience configuring infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kubernetes as a container orchestration technology
• Experience with Terraform and Azure ARM or Bicep templates for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience configuring and maintaining secure backend environments, including network isolation and VPN access.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring and visualization tools such as ZipKin, Jaeger, New Relic, DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers to instrument code for visualization and alerts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services and managing identities across Azure services.
• Previous experience in a financial or payment systems environment.

• Recent experience designing and building unified observability platforms that enable companies to use the sometimes-overwhelming amount of available data (metrics, logs, and traces) to determine quickly if their application or service is operating as desired
• Expertise in deploying and using open-source observability tools in large-scale environments, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK (ElasticSearch + Logstash + Kibana), Jaeger, Kiali, and/or Loki

Linux Administrator Roles &  Responsibilities:

Technical Skills

• Experience with AWS multi-region/multi-AZ deployed systems, auto-scaling of EC2 instances, CloudFormation, ELBs, VPCs, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, Route53, RDS, IAM roles, security groups, cloud watch
• Experience in Data Visualization and Monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana
• Experienced in Build and CI/CD/CT technologies like GitHub, Chef, Artifactory, Hudson/Jenkins
• Experience with log collection, filter creation, and analysis, builds, and performance monitoring/tuning of infrastructure.
• Automate the provisioning of environments pulling strings with Puppet, cooking up some recipes with Chef, or through Ansible, and the deployment of those environments using containers, like Docker or Rocket: (have at least some configuration management tool through some version control).

Qualifications:

• B.E/ B.Tech/ M.C.A in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% in Graduation and Post-Graduation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Prior experience provisioning and spinning up AWS Clusters / Kubernetes
• Production experience to build scalable systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)
• Experience supporting a managed cloud services infrastructure
• Ability to maintain, monitor and optimise production database servers
• Prior work with Cloud Monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, CloudWatch etc.)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc)
• Other Open Source tools used in the infrastructure space (Packer, Terraform, Vagrant, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge on Linux Environment.
• Prior experience leading technical teams through the design and implementation of systems infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet or Ansible preferred) Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins preferred)
• Experience in handling large production deployments and infrastructure.
• DevOps based infrastructure and application deployments experience.
• Working knowledge of the AWS network architecture including designing VPN solutions between regions and subnets
• Hands-on knowledge with the AWS AMI architecture including the development of machine templates and blueprints
• He/she should be able to validate that the environment meets all security and compliance controls.
